Dit is een rondleiding van een hele dag langs de hoogtepunten van Belfast (optioneel), de prachtige Causeway Coastal Route, de Giant's Causeway en Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, met een paar verrassende bestemmingen buiten de gebaande paden. Deze tour is bedoeld voor de bezoeker die weinig tijd over heeft tijdens zijn reis naar Noord-Ierland. Deze tour geeft je een goed voorproefje van de verscheidenheid die de stad, de kustlijn, de cultuur en het erfgoed te bieden hebben tijdens een dagtour vanuit Belfast of een accommodatie in Noord-Ierland (er zijn extra kosten van toepassing). (Optioneel voor Belfast Pick Up - niet beschikbaar voor Derry/Other Pick Up) Volg een korte rondleiding langs de hoogtepunten van Belfast, waaronder het majestueuze stadhuis, de grootsheid van het Stormont Estate, het University Quarter en de prachtige maritieme geschiedenis van de Titanic Quarter.
NIET AANGEBODEN OP MAANDAG. Het is een van de oudste en grootste intacte Normandische kastelen in Ierland en staat sinds 1177 aan de oevers van Belfast Lough. Stop om foto's te maken van dit majestueuze gebouw. Niet beschikbaar op boekingen die vertrekken vanuit Derry/Londonderry.
Kom dichterbij met een van de weinige overgebleven Ierse kastelen waar nog honderden jaren door dezelfde familie is gewoond. Omdat het een privéwoning is, kunnen we helaas niet bezoeken, maar onze tour neemt je op unieke wijze mee naar een geweldig uitkijkpunt (afhankelijk van het voertuig) boven Glenarm om dit gotische meesterwerk in al zijn glorie te bekijken en een stop te maken bij zijn verbazingwekkende grootse ingang, The Barbican (die voorkomt in Dungeons & Dragons 2023 Movie).
Een tussenstop in Carnlough - en niet in de bibliotheek - zal je belonen met uitzicht op de prachtige kalkstenen haven, de spoorbruggen, het hotel dat ooit eigendom was van de familie Churchill en natuurlijk je eerste Game of Thrones-locatie van de tour. U kunt ook een kopje koffie of een snack pakken in de nabijgelegen winkel.
AFHANKELIJK VAN DE WEERSOMSTANDIGHEDEN EN HET SEIZOEN. Reis door de Queen of the Nine Glens of Antrim - een inspiratiebron voor Narnia in de romans van CS Lewis - en de thuisbasis van de tuimelende watervallen en oude bossen van Glenariff Forest Park.
Voordat we door het mooie Cushendall gaan, stoppen we bij Agnew's Field en verwonderen we ons over de enorme schaal van Glenariff Glen en de ruïnes van het oude Redbay Castle. Het dorp zelf heeft als hart de 'Curfew Tower' en de prachtige muurschilderingen ter ere van het Ierse spel Hurling. Comfortpauze hier beschikbaar.
OPTIONEEL. Dit mooie dorp aan zee is een beschermd gebied dat eigendom is van de National Trust. Bewonder de half-leien huizen in Schotse stijl en het beeldhouwwerk van Johann de geit en het verhaal van zijn tragische einde.
DEZE REIS IS AFHANKELIJK VAN HET WEER, DE CONDITIE VAN DE WEG, DE GROOTTE VAN HET VOERTUIG. De Torr Head Scenic Route slingert zich een weg over de hoge kliffen van de kust van Antrim, met een prachtig uitzicht op zee en de Schotse kust op slechts 12 mijl afstand (als het weer het toelaat). Bewonder diepgroene inhammen en buitenaardse rotsformaties voordat je de verbazingwekkende Murlough Bay bereikt met zijn merkwaardige link naar de Ierse geschiedenis van de 20e eeuw.
(Afhankelijk van seizoen en weer) Deze geweldige baai is toegankelijk via een smalle weg die zich een weg baant van de kalkstenen kliffen die zich voordoen als de Stormlands in Game of Thrones, naar de rotsachtige kustlijn met zijn kalkstenen en basaltrotselementen, het hele jaar door gehavend door de Noord-Atlantische Oceaan.
We stoppen in deze gevierde badplaats voor lunch of diner (afhankelijk van het seizoen) in een van de bekroonde lokale restaurants met hun beroemde visgerechten en de wereldberoemde chowder - Ballycastle is de eerste plaats om draadloze radiosignalen te verzenden en ontvangen door Marconi's team - ga dan langs de kust naar Kinbane. Winteropties verschillen.
(Tijd en weer het toelaat) De ruïnes van Kinbane Castle liggen op een lange, smalle kalkstenen landtong die uitsteekt in de zee, met uitzicht op het kolkende water van de Straat van Moyle, Rathlin Island en de Schotse eilanden. Bewonder de tuimelende waterval en de zeegrotten ver onder het kustpad.
Deze reis is exclusief een oversteek van de touwbrug (ca. 3 uur). In plaats daarvan zullen we de Rope Bridge van bovenaf bekijken vanaf Portaneevy Lookout Point en genieten van een panoramisch uitzicht op de kustlijn en uitzicht over Schotland (als het weer het toelaat).
Bezoekers worden erop gewezen dat deze site erg druk is met opstoppingen tijdens piekuren. We zullen ons best doen om de site op rustigere tijden te bereiken om uw plezier te vergroten. Laat het ons ook van tevoren weten als u mobiliteitsproblemen heeft. De Giant's Causeway is de meest bezochte natuurlijke attractie in Ierland en is de enige UNESCO-werelderfgoedlocatie in Noord-Ierland. Met zijn verbazingwekkende verzameling van meer dan 40.000 basaltkolommen is het een van de natuurwonderen die u gezien moet hebben aan deze spectaculaire kustlijn - zo niet de wereld - maar laat ons uw mening weten.
TIJD- EN WEERAFHANKELIJK. De locatie op de klif van Dunluce Castle, waar bijna 250 jaar aan gebouwd is, trekt al jaren kunstenaars en fotografen aan. Een van de meest indrukwekkende kasteelruïnes in Ierland, deze halte zal je innerlijke artiest aanspreken. Sta minstens 10 minuten toe om te genieten van dit verbazingwekkende bewijs van de onderneming van de Ieren, 600 jaar nadat de bouw begon. INGANG TOT KASTEEL NIET INBEGREPEN BIJ DEZE STOP.

Ophalen is mogelijk bij alle hotels, pensions, bed & breakfasts, AirBnB, vakantieparken, havens en luchthavens in Belfast en Derry/Londonderry. Voor treinen die vanuit Dublin aankomen, is er ook een ophaalservice beschikbaar bij het treinstation Lanyon Place. We halen u ook op bij de cruiseterminals, of als de schepen vroeg aankomen, ontmoeten we u graag aan de voorkant van het stadhuis van Belfast. Een taxi naar het stadscentrum kost ongeveer £ 10,00.

AVOID AVOID AVOID My wife and I booked a tour of Northern Ireland after docking in Belfast on a cruise, expecting a professional and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, it quickly turned into a complete disaster. About an hour into the tour, we were stopped by law enforcement officers and informed that the driver, Fergal, was operating illegally and that his so-called "luxury vehicle" was also not legally compliant. This was incredibly embarrassing, stressful, and completely ruined what should have been a memorable day. To make matters worse, we were forced to abandon the tour and arrange alternative transport. We were placed in a local taxi to continue our sightseeing and had to pay for the tour again out of our own pocket. The biggest shock came when we discovered that using a local taxi for the same itinerary was approximately $500 cheaper than the tour we had originally booked. No visitor should have to endure the experience we went through. We felt misled, overcharged, and extremely disappointed. I would strongly advise others to avoid booking with this operator and to consider local taxi services instead. Don't be conned into paying premium prices for a service that may not even be operating legally.
Dear TripAdvisor Moderation Team, I wish to formally request an urgent investigation into the review posted on my business profile entitled "Avoid This Tour Company at All Costs." The individual identified in the review appears to be my customer. However, I have since contacted him directly and he has categorically confirmed that he did not write or submit this review. He has also informed me that he has reported this directly to TripAdvisor because someone appears to have posted a review while representing themselves as him. I can provide screenshots of our correspondence confirming this. While the disruption described in the review relates to an incident that occurred during the tour, the review also contains statements that are disputed and presents itself as the personal experience of someone who now confirms he was not the author. This raises a serious question regarding the authenticity and eligibility of the review under TripAdvisor's Review Guidelines. I respectfully request that TripAdvisor investigate: whether the account holder who submitted the review is the genuine customer; whether the review complies with TripAdvisor's authenticity requirements; whether the review should remain published if it has been submitted by someone other than the customer it purports to represent. As a small independent business, my reputation depends heavily on the integrity of customer reviews. I therefore ask that this matter be investigated as a priority. Incredible scenery, and our host Fergal was an expert in his field and enjoyable to be with. We weren’t expecting a private tour in a gorgeous jaguar sedan so that was a bonus and Fergal had that car hugging every turn on the narrow and windy backroads. He also made great use of the shorter daylight time. This trip was beyond our expectations and couldn’t have been any better. The host/guide/driver is outstanding, the scenery is one beautiful scene after another, and the route was well planned and full of history. I especially liked that Fergal spoke just the right amount of the time and was very perceptive in knowing when and what to say. He reads his audience well.

My full-day Northern highlights guided tour with host Fergal was truly an experience I will never forget. I so enjoyed the sights, the beauty of Northern Ireland, the small towns, the wonderful stories that Fergal told, the coastal areas and seas, the castles, waterfalls, history of this great place and more. If you want to avoid the crowd and experience the coastal route scenery, this is very much recommended. At your leisure and a good time spend learning the history and geography with Fergal. An obvious comparison would be with the 'Bus Tours' to Giant Causeway and Game of thrones route. I understand that there will be quite a bit of walking involved with the Bus tours as drop off points are not always closer to the point of interest. regarding this tour, I must say that the route taken is not same as the bus route, and hence do your (re)search and choose which sites you would prefer to visit.
