Maak kennis met Chef Se eun Choi, die geboren en getogen is in Noord-Korea voordat hij vanaf 2017 een nieuw leven begon in Zuid-Korea. Ze deelt nu de verhalen, cultuur en het dagelijks leven van haar vaderland door middel van voedsel, het creëren van betekenisvolle culturele uitwisseling door middel van koken. Na haar afstuderen aan het Department of Culinary Arts in Seoul en het opdoen van ervaring in restaurants en hotels, presenteert ze de Noord Koreaanse keuken op een warme, toegankelijke en moderne manier. Deze unieke kookles is meer dan alleen eten maken. Samen leer je authentiek N Koreaans streetfood koken terwijl je persoonlijke verhalen hoort over het leven in Noord-Korea, haar reis naar Zuid-Korea en de diepere betekenis achter elk gerecht. Het is een zeldzame kans om een verdeelde natie te begrijpen door smaak, conversatie en menselijke verbinding.

This was, without a doubt, one of the most memorable experiences. It’s so much more than a 'cooking class', it is a powerful cultural exchange. Our hosts shared incredibly moving personal stories about their life and their journey, which gave such deep context to the food we prepared together. The dishes were simple, authentic and delicious, but the real highlight was the conversation. If you are looking for a genuine, human-to-human connection and a rare insight into North Korean culture, I cannot recommend this enough. It was an eye-opening and deeply emotional experience that I will remember for a long time.
