Ontdek de fascinerende onderwaterzeegezichten van het Nizuc-rif net voor de kust van Cancun. Maak de ervaring compleet door een glimp op te vangen van de moderne kunstcreaties van het MUSA Underwater Museum, een unieke tentoonstelling over de zeebodem. De reis begint met een ontspannende rit door de Nichupte-lagune en zijn schilderachtige mangroveboskanalen. Zodra je het snorkelplatform bereikt, ben je slechts een paar vinslagen verwijderd van de magische wereld van tropische koralen en kleurrijke vissen. Je snorkelbuis is gloednieuw en je mag hem houden na het avontuur. Volg je gids naar de nabijgelegen sculpturen van het Underwater Museum om getuige te zijn van een kunsttentoonstelling als geen ander. Ga terug naar het platform voor een korte rustpauze voordat je weer naar binnen springt om wat meer van de ontzagwekkende flora en fauna te verkennen. Het beste van alles - u kunt zo lang op het platform blijven als u wilt, aangezien de boten regelmatig tussen de jachthaven en het platform pendelen.

Upon arriving at Aquaworld, the man at the counter stated that he couldn't locate our reservation. He walked away and then returned to ask, "not to be rude but who is the oldest person is the group?" My friend stated he was 68. The man walked away again. He returned to say he was sorry that they cannot have anyone on the boat to snorkel who is over the age of 65. This was not in the fine print or the large print either! We did not go on the boat and I have requested a refund, which they have denied.
Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that this restriction is established by the marina authority in Cancun. Due to safety regulations and the type of waves in that specific area, passengers over 60 years old are not permitted to participate in the snorkeling activity. This is a mandatory safety regulation, and operators are not allowed to make exceptions. Additionally, this information is clearly stated on the activity ticket and in the participation requirements. We kindly encourage guests to carefully review the activity details and restrictions prior to arrival, as these guidelines are provided in advance. We understand this may have been disappointing; however, these measures are strictly in place to ensure passenger safety.

The length of time permitted to snorkel is great. We were able to snorkel for 90-120 minutes. You are only able to snorkel in a small area of the reef so it isn’t as exciting as other snorkel areas I’ve been to. The boats to return people to the Aquaworld do not come very often so plan on being out on the raft/reef for 3 hours Time in the boat from base out to the reef platform is about 30minutes.
