Na een warme en drukke dag in Puglia is het tijd om te ontspannen en te genieten van de magie van mediterrane nachten. Deze tour begint bij zonsondergang, gaat door tijdens de schemering en eindigt 's nachts. Het vindt plaats op het prachtige en rustige platteland van Rudiae. Eerst bezoeken we het archeologische park, daarna zullen we, omringd door de natuur, olijfbomen en overblijfselen van oude beschavingen, genieten van sterrenkijken en praten over mythen, sterrenbeelden, geschiedenis, kosmologie en meer.

De tour begint met het bezoeken en informeren van de belangrijkste monumenten van het archeologische park, namelijk de Romeinse weg, de overblijfselen van de heilige tempel, het ondergrondse graf en het amfitheater.
In het tweede deel van de tour gaan we naar de arena van het amfitheater. Daar zullen we onze aandacht op de lucht richten. Terwijl we praten over geschiedenis, sterrenbeelden en mythologie, reizen we in de tijd en genieten we opnieuw van een tijdloze mediterrane nacht.

Very interesting tour (archaeological site too little known in Salento). Mauricio, the guide, is really prepared and extremely kind. On this tour you will have a varied program, including information about the archaeological site and observation of the constellations.
Knowledge, culture in a creative mix of history and astronomy. How to go from archaeological remains to a fleeting immersion in ancient daily life, critically revisiting today. A stimulus to think very interesting, going beyond the mere erudite presentation of the finds.
This tour was a very interesting and unique experience. Mauritzio’s passion for the subject matter shone through and the links that he drew from this ancient site and the stars to modern day life and trends were very memorable and thought provoking. He was very helpful and communicative, including regarding transport to and from the site. If you have an interest in archaeology, astronomy and anthropology this tour is for you!
Mauricio’s archaeological tour was the highlight of our trip! His knowledge and storytelling brought history to life, and he was incredibly attentive to my 8-year-old son—making the tour fun, interactive, and easy for him to follow. Highly recommend for both adults and kids!

I’ve done a lot of tours, and this one was unique and special. Mauricio’s passion for and knowledge of Roman and Messapian history shone through. There’s nothing quite like walking into a Roman amphitheater through the gladiators’ entrance and then looking up at the night sky and talking about the constellations. (We also got the benefit of a lovely sunset.) Highly recommend!
It was a high-level sensory experience that involved us completely. The guide, by mome Maurizio, touched on different areas: the territory (the ancient Rudiae) with the intoxicating scent of medicinal herbs together with the observation of the starry sky, showing in both areas a high level of competence and involvement. An amazing experience and a perfect activity to do while cooling off in the summer night. I went with my friends after hearing about this tour from a local during a visit. Initially we didn’t think much about it, but we were pleasantly surprised by the level of history behind the stars and the stories they tell in the context of Roman civilization. Really fascinating. A wonderful offer of the city and people of Lecce.
