Sinds hun aankomst in Niagara on the Lake, Canada in 1948, heeft de familie Pillitteri zich toegewijd aan het creëren van een erfenis voor de volgende generaties. Op deze locatie zouden we 3-4 wijnproeverijen doen naast een rondleiding door hun wijnbereidingsfaciliteit!
Niagara's exclusieve wijnmakerij aan het meer. Opgericht in 1893 buiten Stuttgart, Duitsland, opgericht in 1984 in Niagara-on-the-Lake. 100% Niagara verbouwde en produceerde VQA-wijnen, vervaardigd, eigendom van en beheerd door de familie Konzelmann. Proeverijboetiek, rondleidingen, privéervaringen, kaasschotels, volledige productiefaciliteit, vatkelder, bedrijfsevenementen, diners/lunches voor speciale evenementen, bruiloften, wijngaard aan het meer met uitzicht op Toronto, CN Tower, Rogers Centre. Trotse Canadees die als eerste op de "Wine Spectators Top 100 List" staat. Op deze locatie doen we niet alleen 3-4 wijnproeverijen, maar ook een mini-charcuterie gecombineerd met uw wijnproeverijen!
Het Heritage District van Niagara-on-the-Lake, ook bekend als de 'oude stad', biedt prachtige winkels, waar bezoekers vaak wandelend te vinden zijn. Herleef de glamour van de jaren twintig en dertig en vind jouw perfecte hoed bij Beau Chapeau. Denk aan het verleden van Kerstmis en maak nieuwe herinneringen bij Just Christmas, het oudste vakantie-imperium van Canada dat het hele jaar door geopend is. Verwen uzelf door luxe bad- en lichaamsproducten van Maison Apothecare mee naar huis te nemen. Je krijgt een pauze van 75 minuten en wordt hier afgezet in de oude binnenstad van Niagara-On-The-Lake, waar je kunt winkelen, eten, ontdekken of al het bovenstaande! Dan halen wij u weer op en hervatten de tour!
Een van de oprichtende familiewijnmakerijen van Niagara-on-the-Lake, opgericht in 1982 door The Reif Family en later overgenomen door Klaus W. Reif. Tegenwoordig produceert Reif wijnen uit de 125 hectare grote wijngaard die voor het eerst werd aangeplant in 1977 en ligt in de sub-appellatie Niagara River, waar zonaanbiddelijke druivensoorten het beste groeien. Een lang groeiseizoen wordt verfijnd door de rivier, omdat luchtstromen de vroege voorjaars- en late herfstvorst belemmeren. Onze wijngaard is aangeplant in de warmste sub-appellatie van Ontario, ideaal om rijke, volle wijnen te produceren. Onze boerderij is ook de thuisbasis van enkele van de oudste vinifera-aanplantingen in Canada; een voordeel voor telers in koelere klimaten zoals Ontario, omdat volwassen wijnstokken eerder rijpen. Ze produceren ook wijnen die het ‘terroir’ weerspiegelen, dus als u onze wijnen proeft, proeft u de essentie van onze wijngaard. Hier zullen we 3-4 wijnproeverijen doen!

Wij halen u op waar u ook verblijft! Een hotel, B&B, Air B&B, zelfs het huis van jou of je vriend! *Gasten moeten een ophaallocatie opgeven* De ophaalservice is tussen 10.00 en 10.30 uur voor Niagara Falls en tussen 10.30 en 11.00 uur voor Niagara-On-The-Lake-locaties. De tijden kunnen variëren afhankelijk van het ophalen van andere gasten en de wegomstandigheden. Uw preciezere ophaaltijd wordt na 18.00 uur, de dag vóór uw tour, naar u verzonden. We had a fantastic time on the tour. Mary was a superb guide and the trip was run with care, precission and good humour. She made everything so easy, from picking us up at our door to recommending places to eat. Each of the wineries we visited was unique and the the consultants who looked after our group were fantastic and a credit to each of the respective businesses. We particularly found Oscar in Reif to be great with the group and really informative. I would thoroughly recommend the tour. It was a great day out, offered good value for money and was a brilliant way to experience wine country without having to do any work!

Everything was well planned and carried out. Guide let us know at the start which wineries we would be visiting. He also let us know we would have some time to explore the historic district. Guide was knowledgeable, pleasant, and attentive to our needs. He gets a 5 in our book. Great activity for a day’s worth of enjoyment without the hassle of driving, arranging tours, etc. on our own.

Our experience was awesome . We had an amazing day. We booked with The Winery Guys. Our tour guide Mary was the best. She really made the trip from pickup, to taking pictures , to sharing background history of the wineries and the various areas we drove thru to the downtown shopping and lunch stop. Just the best! Our recent winery tour was great. We booked directly with the Winery Guys and Kevin was our Guide/driver. There were 3 other couples on the tour with us. Kevin provided some history about the region and made the tour fun; great personality. We visited three wineries. The first was the Konzelmann Estate Winery where Donna was our sommelier. Donna was very knowledgable and provided anecdotes during the tastings. We were provided with a private room for the group where we tried several wines paired with a charcuterie board. Donna was fantastic. Of all the wineries visited this was our favorite. The second winery was Reif Estate Winery where again we were given a private room for tasting. The tasting went well, but found that it was scripted; a bit rushed. The third winery was Pillitteri Estate Winery. We were given a variety of wines and ice wine to taste. The tastings were done in an open area with others, which made it quite noisy. Our sommelier was great and we were given a tour of the winemaking facilities which was very interesting. At all the wineries you were able to purchase various wines as well as other items. Booking a tour with the Winery Guys allowed us to enjoy the tastings without the worry of having to drive. I would highly recommend booking a tour with them.

Konzelmann winery was excellent. Reif wasn’t bad. HOwever, wasn’t fond of their wine tasting selection. Pillitteri winery wine tour was very informative. However, the other tours were very noisy and distracting. Could have scheduled better so they didn’t overlap each other. Our driver Mo was excellent.

It is important to note that if you are going out in public, like to the wineries, on a shared tour, during the summer, which is peak season, there will be other people at the wineries! This is outside of our control, nor would we ever prevent anyone from getting to enjoy the wineries whether they are on tour with us or not!
