- Let op: parkeren is lastig in Newport, vooral in het weekend. Houd er rekening mee dat parkeren minstens 60 minuten duurt, vooral in het weekend en op feestdagen, omdat er geen restitutie wordt verleend als u de boot mist. Gasten dienen 20 minuten voor vertrek bij onze kassa aanwezig te zijn om in te checken. De boot vertrekt stipt op de geplande vertrektijd. The boat only goes fast for a few minutes so you’re only cold then. We loved the stories about who owns the fancy boats and how much they’re worth! And the educational info about the hurricane. It was the perfect amount of time too, not too long but didn’t feel short either. I think my favorite part was learning about Ida!! Such a heroine!
I highly recommend taking this tour! Beautiful boat ride around Newport, learn a lot of fun facts and the boat is chartered by a great captain and tour guide!
Perfect way to experience the Newport harbor Kenny the tour guide made it a great trip and Jack the captain added information about the rum runner boat’s history

They called and said they had to reschedule our noon departure for 145, which was fine. But then they called again and canceled it all together. Very disappointing

It was truly a fun and wonderful trip. Very informative. Guides were great, boat clean, highly recommend.
Newport was our port on our cruise ship, but we didn’t want to do the ship excursions. We were celebrating my mom’s 70th birthday and she loves to sail. We’re from Newport Beach, CA so this was extra fun being able to be on a sailboat in the “other Newport.” The staff was great - Rob, Casey, and Shannon. I appreciated the text message reminders and call from the team when I hadn’t checked in for the cruise yet. The sail was very organized, relaxed, informative, and a great length. We liked being able to purchase drinks on board and the souvenir koozie! I read online to bring cash for the drinks, so we were prepared for that. We would love to do this sailing again!

Great cruise. Enjoyed the sights from the water. Did get a little ocean spray but to be expected on a boat.
One of the highlights of our Rhode Island vacation was the sightseeing tour aboard the Rum Runner II boat. It was an actual rum running boat during prohibition! Captain Nora was the best and most entertaining and knowledgeable Captain we have ever had telling us about Rhode Island landmarks and history! You could also enjoy beverages onboard, including beer, wine and rum punch. This sightseeing boat in Newport harbor is the most enjoyable tour we've ever done -- better than the sailboat tour. We've done the Rum Runner II boat tour many times and this most recent time won't be our last!

My husband and I originally booked the Rumrunner cruise as part of our 10 year anniversary trip to Newport but the company had to cancel that trip and offered for us to take a sailboat cruise on the Madeleine instead. The experience was fun and we saw several unique Newport landmarks. The cruise staff were friendly, funny and attentive. I enjoyed watching them operate the sails and hearing the history they shared!
