Beste locatie. Beste bemanning. Beste rondvaartboot. Vaar naar het ongelooflijke Witless Bay Ecological Reserve voor uw kans om papegaaiduikers, walvissen en ijsbergen te spotten. De attracties voor wilde dieren variëren met de tijd van het jaar. Papegaaiduikers nestelen van mei tot half september. Het walvisseizoen piekt van half juni tot half augustus. Walvissen worden soms voor en na de piekperiode gespot. IJsbergen verschijnen meestal van mei tot half juni. Walvissen en/of ijsbergen zijn niet gegarandeerd op een bepaalde cruise. Geniet van vermakelijk en leerzaam live commentaar van natuuronderzoekers en bemanning aan boord. Onze catamaran biedt de meeste ruimte voor uw comfort. Onze rondvaartboot biedt het grootste bereik om de kans op het tegenkomen van walvissen en andere zeedieren te vergroten. De duur van de tour is minimaal 90 minuten. De rondvaartboot heeft binnenaccommodaties voor alle gasten. Transport Canada-gecertificeerde bemanning en boot.

- Als de activiteit wordt geannuleerd door Gatherall's op enig moment voorafgaand aan of tijdens de geplande activiteit, kunnen deelnemers ervoor kiezen om ofwel zonder extra kosten opnieuw te plannen of een volledige terugbetaling te ontvangen.

Super fun! The captain and crew were great. We saw ten whales and so many birds. The gift shop had plenty of cute options. Don’t make the mistake I did and Uber out there—it’ll be a challenge to get back.
Absolutely enjoyed the experience- saw many whales and puffins. The crew was outstanding. Very fun and informative. You could tell the crew loved what they were doing. A must do activity if you visit St. John’s.
Wow Noah and his team are amazing, they sang Newfie songs to us and sought out the smoothest water, we were constantly checked in on in case we were feeling unwell, we learned so much about the seabirds and Whales…we saw so many Whales it was incredible they were so close to the boat it was the highlight of our trip!!! The staff in the wonderful gift shop were great, busy, but nothing was too much trouble, thank you so much one and all.
Had a brilliant trip, we saw lots of whales and the trip to the "puffin island" was incredible too. The crew were friendly, gave interesting commentary and entertained us well Thank you for a great afternoon

Captain “Al” Gatherall had done this trip over a thousand times before. He had with him for this trip his son “Luke” and his mother “Rosemary” who is the matriarch and pioneer of the family business. After a safety briefing by another family member, we left the dock. Al had set whale sighting expectations low with a speech that included a statement “We may not see any whales, but I can guarantee we will see puffins.” Captain Al designed and oversaw the construction of the catamaran style sightseeing boat. We swiftly left the beautiful harbor of Bay Bulls and immediately bumped into two whales. Imagine that! It is feeding season. Cries came up from the Port side of the boat “There’s another over there!”. After watching the whales for thirty plus minutes, the moved on to Witless Bay to see the hundreds of Atlantic Puffins and Guillemots. What a sight this is! The birds are everywhere, and pay no attention to the boat are we cruised by the island which is covered in their small nests. It is an amazing sight. To summarize, the is a wonderful experience. It would not have been made possible without the great work of “Janice” who drove the pickup van from St. John’s,
We had an incredible tour. Two humpback whales approached our boat & interacted. It was unbelievable. Then we saw the Puffin Island & thousands of puffins were flying around, in the water & on the island. The guides sang, were informative & super friendly. Great gift store as well. Definitely would recommend & go again!
Tour was far beyond expectations!!! Staff were friendly and you felt their love for people. We saw many whales and thousands of puffins as well as many other birds. And not to mention the very competitive rates. Pick u pop at the hotel in St. John’s was an added plus. Highly recommend Gatherall’s. Hugs to Mrs. G
