Deze ontroerende en suggestieve rondleiding door Ground Zero begint op de plaats van wat diende als reddingscentrum voor slachtoffers en plaats voor aandenkens na de aanslagen: St. Paul's Chapel. Deze historische kerk was wonderbaarlijk ongedeerd toen de Twin Towers vielen, ondanks dat ze slechts een blok verderop lagen. Je loopt dan naar het 9/11 Memorial waar we stilstaan bij de levens die verloren zijn gegaan bij de aanslagen in het World Trade Center. Zie "Reflecting Absence", de grootste kunstmatige watervallen van het continent. Uw Gids zal de betekenis achter de herdenking delen, verhalen van de dag en hoe New Yorkers in de nasleep bij elkaar kwamen. Begin vanaf daar een zelfstandige tour in de lobby van de Freedom Tower door te kijken naar "Voices", een film gewijd aan de mannen en vrouwen van de Twin Towers en Freedom Tower. Upgrade je ervaring om met de "Sky Pod" lift 450 meter omhoog te gaan naar het One World Observatory, waar je de skyline van NYC kunt zien die zich uitstrekt over Manhattan.

Our guide Paul Kelly was exceptional. I cannot recommend this guy enough….gave us a full on tour with details and stories from Burger King building to the church and so so much more. Gave us a real insight and feel on how 9/11 was for New York and the months and years and to this day how it is affecting people. One of the best guides/tours we have ever been on!
We had a powerful experience with Sean narrating the actual biographies of people who lost their lives on 911. He made the day come alive again: with the people in the tower, the rescue workers, regular citizens, etc. I couldn't help but but cry as he told of these stories, as Sean is a brilliant storyteller. This was our third time visiting the 911 Memorial and Museum. Our guide Russell, did an amazing job of explaining what we were seeing and experiencing. We learned several things about that terrible day that we had not heard before. He was very thorough, knowledgeable and made the tour a much better experience for us.
Liz was a great guide! And she was very patient with my very eager 10 yr old! Liz is a native New Yorker and was very knowledgable. Although not the best time of year (super cold!) we highly enjoyed the tour. About a hour spent outside so be prepared for the weather. Very touching stories.
