Luister naar liedjes en de verhalen erachter als je meer te weten komt over de onsterfelijken van blues, jazz, gospel en rock n'roll die deel uitmaakten van deze stad. Luister naar Louis Armstrong, James Booker, Fats Domino, The Meters, Allen Toussaint, professor Longhair, Buddy Bolden, Mahalia Jackson en vele anderen die deel uitmaken van 300 jaar muzikaal erfgoed.

Ontmoet je gids, Keith (een platenspeler uit Louisiana met meer dan 20 jaar ervaring in de platenindustrie), in de Louisiana Music Factory aan Frenchmen Street - de meest muzikale straat in New Orleans. Breng ongeveer 2 uur en een dozijn liedjes door terwijl we door de historische 'faubourgs' (buurten) van New Orleans lopen - de Marigny, French Quarter en Treme - die ruimte, tijd en genres overspannen, we leren 300 jaar New Orleans Music & Heritage. De auditief-visuele wandeling wordt begeleid door Bluetooth-luidsprekers om de artiesten en locaties langs de tour muzikaal te begeleiden. Dit is Keith's favoriete platenwinkel - alles waar we het tijdens de tour over hebben, kun je hier krijgen!
Steek Esplanade over en ga dan Chartres Street in en breng een bezoek aan het jongenshuis van Danny Parker. Samen met zijn onstuimige en schunnige zingende vrouw Blue Lu, leren we hoe een alleenstaande man het erfgoed van de fanfare van New Orleans kan redden. Vervolgens zijn er haltes op de Place de Armes, Preservation Jazz Hall, een wandeling door Bourbon Street naar Mister New Orleans en J&M Studios - the 'Home of Rock N' Roll. '
Sandra en Allan Jaffe bezochten hun huwelijksreis en vonden hun leven thuis in Pres Hall. Bezoek de cadeauwinkel en maak een foto terwijl je hier bent.
Ooit was Bourbon Street de meest muzikale straat ter wereld! Katten als Louis Prima, Al Hirt en Pete Fountain schalden jazz door de hete, natte nachtlucht. Slenter of sashay met ons als we Basin Street Blues op een klarinet horen blazen.
Hier zie je het standbeeld van Louis Armstrong. In de Treme, Amerika's 1e Afro-Amerikaanse wijk, hoor je over hun invloed op de muziek en het erfgoed van New Orleans.
Haltes in Armstrong Park zijn onder andere Congo Square.

The guide Keith was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of time to interact with him. He played select pices of music as we walked, which was a lot of fun. i wish I had this tour at the begining of my visit, which might have helped to know more about where to be and what to do.
