Na een korte rondleiding door de architectuur en geschiedenis van de wijk, geniet u van een volledige maaltijd van unieke Cajun en Creoolse specialiteiten, verspreid over 3 lokale eetgelegenheden. Begin bij de begraafplaats Lafayette en verken vervolgens de architectuur van het Garden District, met historische herenhuizen, kleurrijke jachtgeweerhuizen en prachtige eikenbomen. Er is ook grote kleine bedrijven en antiek / vintage winkelen, boetieks en galeries op Magazine St.! Je eetstops omvatten heerlijke gerechten van Creoolse fusion en de multiculturele invloeden die de 300 jaar oude stad hebben gevormd. Dranken (alcoholisch of niet-alcoholisch) zijn inbegrepen. Our family was in New Orleans for 12 days and took many tours. By far the best were guided by Michelle Mashon. She is a native of the city and knows all the best history and places to visit away from the normal tourist spots. I would give her 6 stars if that was possible.

Yes, the French Quarter has great dining experiences. But there are so many great food options in every category and dining experience level all over the city. This tour takes you away from bustle and shove of the Quarter to the leisurely pace of the Garden District. Michelle takes time to build a history of the food of New Orleans through the history of its inhabitants. Then you eat (you will be full at the end) at 3 of her fav local spots. The locals know her - think "Norm!" from Cheers - b/c you are in HER neighborhood! You'll feel welcome and want to come back again and again.

This experience was awesome! I would give it 10 stars if I could. Michelle is a wonderful guide. She taught us so much about local history and customs, shared excellent food with us, and gave everyone in our group great tips about places to shop and eat while we’re in town. She went above and beyond and made this tour so much fun!
