Dit evenement combineert de geschiedenis van de keuken van Louisiana met cocktails in New Orleans-stijl en is een feest voor de zintuigen! Samen met uw Gids bezoekt u 6 locaties : award winnende visrestaurants, James Beard-genomineerde ambachtelijke cocktaillounges, Creoolse restaurants, ambachtelijke snoepwinkels en meer. Eenmaal binnen proef je tot 6 of meer verschillende gerechten die de moderne uitdrukkingen van ons culinaire erfgoed vertegenwoordigen: klassieke gerechten zoals gumbo en muffuletta’s, maar ook nieuwe interpretaties zoals zoete gebakken bakbanaan! (Vegetarische opties beschikbaar ook!) We zullen ook genieten van 4 full-sized cocktails zoals de verfrissende Pimm's Cup, de rum-zware Hurricane, de klassieke Daiquiri en meer! Deze 4 uur durende gastronomische odyssee is onze manier om u te laten zien waar we nu graag heen gaan, en wat we graag eten en drinken als we er eenmaal zijn. Met zoveel eet- en drinkgelegenheden in New Orleans, waarom probeer je niet tot 6 verschillende plaatsen in één klap?! *Alle locaties kunnen wijzigen op basis van beschikbaarheid.

De wandeltocht begint in de bekroonde Red Fish Grill in de wijk French Quarter van New Orleans. Je begint met Alligator Worst & Zeevruchten Gumbo. We trappen het feest ook af met onze eerste cocktail hier: de Cat 5 Hurricane. Dit deel van de tour richt zich historisch op de prekoloniale en koloniale periode van de geschiedenis van Louisiana, en duurt meestal ongeveer 35 minuten.
Vier blokken verderop kom je Pepper Palace binnen, waar we beginnen te discussiëren over de Cajun-invloed en een onbeperkte verscheidenheid aan hete sauzen, BBQ-sauzen, Buffalo Wings-sauzen, salsa's, droge rubs en meer proeven. Klanten op de tour krijgen ook een gratis fles warme saus in Louisiana-stijl.
Onze vierde locatie wordt een zittende ervaring in het iconische restaurant Napoleon House. Beroemd om hun unieke Muffulettas en Pimm's Cup cocktails, zult u genieten van beide in aanvulling op een hartige Kip en Andouille Worst Jambalaya. Op dit punt zal de Tour Guide niet alleen deze gerechten uitleggen, maar ook de 19e-eeuwse immigrantenpatronen naar New Orleans die de keuken van Louisiana opnieuw beïnvloedden.
Vanaf daar loop je langs Bourbon Street en ga je 4 blokken omhoog naar Leah’s Pralines: een 3e generatie familie snoepwinkel. U proeft traditionele pralines en hun unieke Bacon Pecan Brittle.
Vervolgens ga je naar de James Beard Award genomineerde Cane & Table. Met een focus op de rustieke koloniale keuken en speelse rumdrankjes proef je hun gebakken bakbananen met limoencrème en salsa macha en een klassieke daiquiri van Caribische witte rum, verse limoen en suiker.

Beth was fantastic! We tried a ton of new food and fell in love with everything. A couple of the scheduled stops were closed for construction, and Beth diverted us perfectly. Now we definitely know where to go for some of the best food around!
The food and drinks were amazing. A reason alone to come back and do it again. Our tour guide Beth was the best and all the information she provided was amazing. She was very personable, felt like we were hanging out with a close friend we haven't seen in a while. Everything was perfect.
Fantastic! First time ever having gumbo, jambalaya, muffaletta, praline, etc. The drinks were also delicious!! Highly recommend.

Our guide Ben was amazing. He knows all about the history of New Orleans and the story behind the dishes and the cocktails. A good trip to include in the first days of your stay so you know ehat to look for during the rest of your trip. You can collect all the tips and tricks of navigating New Orleans.
My friend and I decided to do this food tour as a part of our trip to New Orleans. I was kind of hesitant at first because I do not like a lot of seafood and I knew that it was going to be on the tour. I decided to go with the vegetarian options and they did not disappoint. I’m glad that this was a choice considering that spending all that money and not being able to have anything to eat would not make me very happy. Our tour guide Meg was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and personable. The stops that we went to had either good food, good drinks, both -or- things to sample. The samples were all of quality ingredients. The tour was for up to 16 people, but we only had five people which made it small and intimate by the end. We felt like we made a lot of new friends.
This tour was complete worth it. We had good food and drinks along with learning about New Orleans history. Our tour guide was fantastic. I would absolutely do it again and recommend to others. It is worth the price to do the food and cocktail tour

11/10 would recommend this tour to people. And hope that you get Ben as a guide because he was so knowledgeable and friendly, he had excellent rapport with the staff at every single stop. The food and cocktails were excellent at every stop. There was a bit of walking but it was by no means difficult, all flat, and there was enough time between stops to recover if need be. Definitely will be recommending this tour!
Guided tour, typical new Orleans tests, our guide was phenomenal, knew a lot of what he was talking about and didn’t skimp on any data. You knew very good stories about the tour but always open to tell us about other things we wish
