New Delhi Cycle Tour

Beschrijving

Gaurav was an engaging and knowledgeable host. I especially enjoyed his encapsulation of Indian religious traditions. The tour itself was fascinating, and exciting, as result of being in Old Dehli traffic. The south Indian cusine breakfast, which is included in the price, was delicious. If you want a big dollop of India in a short time frame, but that leaves a lasting impression, this tour is for you.
We loved our tour with TJ! We woke up bright and early and started with the old wall at sunrise. We learned about spices, architecture, and visited the inside of a Sikh temple. We finished with a breakfast, sampling dishes from around the country. Great overview of Delhi with an expert guide :)
We rode as a family with kids. The ride & tour were fantastic, enjoyable & safe. It's an early morning ride & the route is manageable. Mostly flat road in Old Delhi. We were apprehensive about riding in the chaos of Old Delhi but were guided safely through the roads & alley ways of the Old City by Taranjit who has a passion for the city & makes the ride through the city also very informative. The organisation was great & prompt. Spin Monkey also made special arrangements for our kids 10 & 12 to ride along, so we knew they were safe. A great way to explore Delhi Old City. The breakfast stop was also a nice touch & Taranjit knows the loc foods. Would definitely recommend - a great experience.
It was an amazing tour and explored the tiniest roads of old Delhi. Spin Monkey shared the detailed information of Delhi’s heritage places and buildings. Thumbs up to Spin Monkey 👍
The New Delhi Cycle Tour was absolutely fabulous. It was very informative as numerous anecdotes were told about the various sights. All queries and questions were answered by the guides. The tour was well organised from the very onset, we met at the prescribed location and were given some ground instructions. Spin monkey is very very well equipped and really ensured our safety. Geared cycles, safety helmets and neons jackets were provided. When I accidentally detached the chains on the cycle 🙈, they efficiently fixed it on spot. In addition to feeling super-duper fit, the tour was a lovely way of seeing New Delhi. Would recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants to experience New Delhi. Attached some pictures to provide snippets on my experience.
Gwen a dear friend and I caught up once who with some context mentioned about this cycle ride. It was Ronnie (my son's) birthday and the idea of cycle ride could just be perfect. For this Sunday early morning ride, we were much ahead of the reporting time, not sure of what to expect and here we find Anchit already in command of the scene and arrangements. Setting the cycles and all enthusiastic, beaming with smile . He was soon joined by his colleague and the man gave us the most interesting introduction of the New Delhi part of the city. Gaurav was another bundle of energy, eagerness and knowledge. And there came a surprise in the form of Ronnie’s cycle decorated with wonderful 'birthday balloons and a beautiful placard in front of the cycle- Happy birthday! Surreal and all of this is happening at 6 in the morning when the surrounding is still in slumber. Ronnie is all excited and so are we. Let’s Spin was the cheer and we were on the roll. The teamwork, coordination of Anchit and Gaurav on the go was brilliant. They were extremely patient, helpful, great conversations, care for Ronnie and all of us- he and Anchit just made the difference. Not getting into the details of each attractions and monument which I would like to keep as a surprise to discover. Finally after ride back to this restaurant for an excellent breakfast which was another display of Spin Monkeys and the teams attention to details and service. The birthday cake came as a surprise when Ronnie was just thinking that we will go back home and cut the cake! Super. My wife who was reluctant to join wants to go back again with her friends for this ride and so do we. Couldn't have been a better day!
We headed out under the cover of darkness from our hotel. To meet our tour guide Gaurav. It was a good time to go at sunrise as the traffic was a lot lighter. Gaurav is a brilliant guide he is very knowledgable and informative of the history and the culture of Delhi and India. He had a great sense of humour. I believe he said his great grandfather served in the British army. The visit to the Sikh temple was very humbling to see how many people volunteer to help daily to prepare and cook three meals a day for 25000 visitors. From all races and religions. All welcome. We went to all the main sights in New Delhi and a surprise step well also. Finished the tour with traditional Indian breakfast from north and south of India. Very nice ! Totally recommend this as a great way to see New Delhi.
