Uw gidsen zijn allemaal Nelsonianen die de verborgen juweeltjes kennen, en u met een uniek inzicht een echte smaak van het echte Nelson geven. Ontdek Trafalgar Street, Christ Church Cathedral, The Lord of the Rings Juwelier, South Street heritage cottages, Queen's Gardens, Suter Art Gallery, geheimen van het centrum van Nieuw-Zeeland en nog veel meer onderweg. Wandel door de hoofdstraat van Nelson en bekijk de gevarieerde architectuur en kunstinstallaties, totdat we de kathedraal bereiken, een verhoogd brandpunt van het stadsbeeld. Na de rondleiding kunt u op uw gemak de kathedraal binnengaan. We bezoeken ook South Street met zijn prachtige, historische erfgoedhuisjes.
Terwijl we door Hardy Street lopen, met een breed scala aan architectuur uit alle tijdperken, betreden we de prachtige Victoriaanse formele tuinen met een historische palingvijver die door dit spectaculaire terrein slingert.
Lord of the Rings juwelier en atelierbezoek. Naast de deur kun je prachtige glaskunst zien bij Flame Daisy, en vaak kun je de kunstenaars aan het werk zien vanaf een extern uitkijkplatform.
Verken Nelson's meest vooraanstaande galerij met diverse tentoonstellingen waar je gefascineerd van zult raken.
Historic South Street heeft huisjes uit 1863, oorspronkelijk gebouwd als huizen voor lokale handelaren. Liefdevol gerestaureerde South Street is de oudste bewaard gebleven straat in Nieuw-Zeeland met bewoners; Een prachtig Heritage Precinct in het centrum van de stad!
Leer meer over de trigonometrische en zwaartekrachtcentra van Nieuw-Zeeland. Een wandeling naar het monument op de top van de heuvel kan apart van de tour worden gedaan als je daar zin in hebt!

- De wandeling is op verzegelde oppervlakken, bijna volledig vlak. Waar er een paar treden zijn, is er een hellingsalternatief voor gemakkelijke toegang
- Als u een voertuig parkeert in Miller's Acre Car Park, moet u betalen met een kaart of munten. Er is gratis parkeergelegenheid beschikbaar in aangrenzende straten. Vraag uw gids of u meer informatie nodig heeft.

Informative and worth doing, More expensive than other walking tours ie Auckland and NZ cultural knowledge is not expansive.

James goes into excellent detail about the heritage, identity, arts, ways of life, stories of people, architecture, industries, craft breweries, national parks, etc. Nelson is a very small city so it is unrealistic to compare our walking tour to one in Auckland where there is a high volume of tourists and a high demand for walking tours. We are the only city walking tour provider in Nelson and do it on a demand basis because we are passionate about visitors seeing and learning about our beautiful city, rather than for profit. Our price has stayed the same since we began 7 years ago. Thanks for your feedback.

We were staying for one night in Nelson, whilst travelling round NZ from the UK and my sister booked the walking tour with James before we got there. We had a fantastic morning and the tour lasted 3 hours and extremely informative. James was the perfect host and took us to some lovely shops too. An exellent way to learn about the history of Nelson and discover the city sights. Much better than doing it on your own. Our guide, James, was engaging and personable. He pointed out many sights that we had walked by and missed on our own.
