Nazi WOII Concentratiekamp Kleine Groepstour vanuit Amsterdam
Beschrijving
Tijdens deze kleine groepsreis bezoeken we de overblijfselen van het nazi-concentratiekamp Vught uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog, met zijn gereconstrueerde wachttorens, kazernes, crematorium en kindermonument. Het kamp werd tussen januari 1943 en oktober 1944 gebruikt en bood onderdak aan ruim 31.000 Joodse en politieke gevangenen. Tijdens dit bezoek wordt het belang van deze tijd in onze recente geschiedenis belicht. Op de locatie is een audiotour inbegrepen. Onze gids blijft gedurende het hele bezoek bij de groep en kan uw vragen beantwoorden. Privévervoer, drankjes en snacks inbegrepen.

Tijdens deze kleine groepsreis bezoeken we de overblijfselen van het concentratiekamp met zijn gereconstrueerde wachttorens, barakken, crematorium en gedenkteken voor kinderen. Dit indrukwekkende monument, centraal gelegen op de campings, geeft de namen en leeftijden weer van de 1.269 Joodse kinderen die in juni 1943 werden gedeporteerd. Na een bezoek aan het herdenkingscentrum en het museum is er tijd om naar het executiegebied te lopen, gelegen in de omliggende bossen. Hier is een gedenkteken opgericht met de namen van de gevangenen die op deze plek zijn geëxecuteerd.

This was by far one of our favorite excursions. It was very moving and educational. Eva’s personal family story really brought the experience to life. Her story made the ride to Vught go by so fast. Five stars was the max I could give. I would give it a 10 if I could. I highly recommend this excursion to anyone coming to Amsterdam and looking for unique experience.

Beautiful visit to the camp. Instructive and moving. The site is well arranged. The museum offers short testimonies from former detainees.

Our guide was sweet, kind, and an excellent driver, and the site's history is deeply moving. However, the transport van was unbearably hot as the air conditioning only functioned in the front.
