Je tour begint met een cruise door de stad Nassau, waar je chauffeur je een historische achtergrondtour door de stad zal geven. Bekijk beelden van koningin Victoria van Engeland en de eerste gouverneur-generaal van de onafhankelijke Bahama's. Bezoek het Parlementsplein waar de Bahamaanse wetten worden gemaakt en leer meer over de verschillende regeringen die deze eilanden controleerden.
Onze eerste stop is bij The Bahamas Rum Cake Factory. Hier krijgt de gast de kans om te zien hoe Rum-cake wordt gemaakt in de Bahama's en gratis rumcakes te proeven met een optie om deze heerlijke cakes te kopen
Vervolgens verlaten we Nassau en steken een brug over (Sir Sidney Poitier Bridge) naar Paradise Island. Hier kunnen gasten het pittoreske Atlantis verkennen en door het casino en de cadeauwinkels wandelen. Maak een foto in de Koningstroon. Ontdek de allure van de oude beschaafde samenleving van Atlantis.
Ook bekend als "The 66 Steps". Deze 102ft natuurlijke trap werd eind 1700 door slaven uit kalksteen gehouwen om de 66-jarige heerschappij van koningin Victoria over haar Britse rijk te herdenken. Zeer mooi, natuurlijk schilderachtig landschap. Een must see!
Bovenaan The Queen's Staircase bevindt zich Bennet's Hill. Hier vindt u Fort Fincastle en The Water Tower. Dit fort werd in 1783 gebouwd met kalksteen en slavenarbeid door de Britse Lord Dunmore om de haven van Nassau te beschermen tegen invallen door de Spanjaarden en het Franse leger. Het uitzicht op de haven van Nassau is een must vanaf de buitenkant van het fort. ($ 3 toegang om het fort binnen te lopen)
John Watling's Distillery is een lokale Rum-producent in de Bahama's. Onze gast krijgt de gelegenheid om de compound te verkennen met een gids van de distilleerderij die u de volledige geschiedenis van de John Watling's en hun producten geeft. Gast ontvangt ook gratis pina-colada-monsters met een optie om te kopen
Vervolgens reizen we naar het westen naar de eindbestemming van onze tour, de "Fish Fry" op Arawak Cay. De naam "Arawak Cay" stamt af van de oorspronkelijke bewoners van deze Bahama-eilanden, de Arawak-indianen. Bij de Fish Fry hebben gasten de mogelijkheid om bij de lokale restaurants te zitten en te dineren en enkele van onze lokale gerechten zoals schelp, kreeft en macaroni te proberen. Onze gidsen nemen je zeker mee naar de beste restaurants met de beste prijzen. Je tour eindigt met een rondleiding terug naar de historische stad Nassau met drop-off terug op je ophaallocatie.
Gasten die niet bij de Fish Fry willen eten, kunnen ervoor kiezen om hun resterende tijd door te brengen op Junkanoo Beach, dat naast de Fish Fry ligt. De tour gaat langs het strand terwijl we teruggaan naar de cruisehaven, zodat gasten foto's kunnen maken.
2 blokken verder van de ingang van Cruiseport is het icoon 'Staw Market', dat in feite een 'vlooienmarkt' is voor lokaal geproduceerde souvenirs, houtsnijwerk, kunstwerken, enz. Gasten hebben de mogelijkheid om de Tour op deze markt te beëindigen om door te gaan met rondneuzen in Nassau en koop souvenirs voordat ze teruggaan naar het cruiseschip. Of de gast wordt direct teruggebracht naar de ingang van de cruisehaven.

I had a good time on the city tour. Bahama Papa is a great tour guide and is very knowledgeable. I had considered doing a self-guided tour but I'm glad I didn't. I enjoyed the samples and he took some good pictures. I couldn't imagine drinking a full shot/glass of the moonshine. I think it was the 103 proof, it will put you to the floor. Lol. The coffee flavor was good though. We were a small group and probably spent more time than the average tour. Thank you for a good time!
The tour guide was very informative and friendly. He knew this history of the area and was a safe driver. I recommend if you want an introduction to the history of Nassau and you will still have enough time for the pool/beach in the afternoon.
Isaac was the best! So knowledgeable about the history. The stops were so fun. And the van was nice and cool!
Driver was knowledgeable and friendly. The van was air conditioned. Got to seen many sites and he knew about so much of city. Rum, wine , and chocolate tour was interesting. Would recommend.
Isaac (Bahama Papa) was such a great tour guide! He knew so much about Bahamas history, culture, and all the best local businesses. He was friendly with everyone and everyone seemed to know him too. We had time to explore some stops on our own and other stops he guided us through while giving us the history. The food and drink samples were small, but it was still fun to try all the local favorites. Highly recommend!
Isaac (BahamaPapa) was very friendly and entertaining. However, the tour van was old and not what we would expect on a $99 Viator tour.

Our tour guide Nico was great. We were messaged via WhatsApp and email that we needed to meet our guide at a certain location at 9:30 when the tour was scheduled to start at 10:00. We weren’t scheduled to disembark our cruise until 9:30am and I put that in our reservation. So there was a delay in picking us up and other people who were on the same cruise which delayed the tour an hour from original schedule. No biggie for us. I enjoyed the stops but my only complaint is that we didn’t go to Atlantis which was part of the tour. I had to ask the tour guide because he didn’t mention a change to the schedule. I really wanted my husband to see Atlantis since this was his first visit to Nassau. So other than that, the tour was fun and informative and Nico was great and patient. He even had to take some people back to the cruise terminal while my husband and I, along with another family ate some authentic Bahamian cuisine.
We loved the experience of this tour, the guide Mr Bahamas Papa Isaac gave us a lot of history information while taking us for all the places, we had the opportunity to visit more than the places named in the tour. We got different examples including chocolates and wines tastes. 3 full hours of information and fun.
We toured with Isaac. We had a great tour. He was very knowledgeable about pretty much anything that you might want to know about Bahamian history, culture and people. I would definitely recommend him for this tour. Thank you, Isaac
