Ervaar de Napa wijnstreek op een unieke manier – op de Napa Valley Wine Trolley. Stap aan boord van de Original San Francisco Cable Car Wine Tour, een historische replica van een San Francisco kabelbaan en neem plaats op een speciaal wijnproeverijavontuur dat u nooit zult vergeten. Deze openlucht trolley laat u de pittoreske wijngaarden ervaren als geen andere tour. De Up Valley Castle Tour gaat noordwaarts met een San Francisco kabelbaan naar Calistoga. De eerste stop is bij Castello di Amorosa, een wijnmakerij gemodelleerd naar een 13e-eeuws Toscaans kasteel voor een uitgebreide proeverij. Daarna geniet u van een lunch in de beroemde Tra Vigne Pizzeria gevolgd door stops bij twee andere opmerkelijke Napa Valley wijnhuizen. Een deskundige gids geeft leuke weetjes en informatie over de beroemde wijnen van Napa. Moet 21 jaar of ouder zijn om deze tour te volgen.

Nadat je bent opgehaald bij je aangewezen ontmoetingspunt in Yountville, neemt je Napa Valley Wine Trolley-tour je mee naar het noorden op Highway 29, de schilderachtige St Helena Highway. Maak het uzelf gemakkelijk in de gemotoriseerde trolley in de open lucht en luister naar commentaar van uw gids terwijl u geniet van de frisse lucht en het uitzicht op de wijngaarden tijdens de rit naar de gebieden St. Helena en Calistoga. Na ongeveer 30 minuten bereik je je eerste van drie wijnmakerijen, Castello di Amorosa.

Unfortunately the trolley was not available but the bus was very comfortable and Richard, our tour guide driver was entertaining. The castle wine tasting was first class but overall did not give enough time to self tour. The Raymond winery was unlike any other. Theatrical, creative and fun place to become your own winemaker! Great venue to book for any type of party. The wine was very good and the tour guide excellent. Overall a great experience with the castle wine tasting exceptional tasting room and terrific selection. Yes, we bought a case. One mishap was on the ride back our driver blasted classic rock which would have been fine if he had lowered the volume. It was like sitting next to concert speakers and even with fingers over ears for the 25 minute ride back, the sound piercing. Not sure why he chose to do that. Oh well. Wish there was another hour at the castle for photos and less time at the third, small winery. 28 people in the final small tasting room was too much.

The tour is not bad for getting acquainted with Napa area and the tour guide was informative of the area. However, the fees charged by the wineries were on the higher end side with pretentiousness in terms of quality. The wineries overall felt a bit overrated and overpriced.

It was a great experience and we had a great informative guide in Omar. He helped facilitate our stops. The Castle Winery was my favorite place to visit as we had options on which wines we could taste where as the the other two places we were not given that choice.

Raymond winery was a set speech, did not listen to special needs. The other 2 wineries were fantastic; educational and personalized. Omar our guide was informative and fun. Be aware there is a fee at all 3 wineries- it is not optional and not upfront.
