Osaka Food Crawl : Pas je smaak aan als een Osakaan in Namba

I took this solo trip and was brought by my guide Rico-chan to 3 restaurants and 1 dessert place. Food tasted good and was a glimpse of the places that were not full of tourists. Would recommend this trip for small groups, whether or not this is the first trip to Osaka.

Had a fantastic evening eating our way through Namba, a great diversity for our four dinning stops. Our guide Ibuki was amazing and spoke impeccable English and was able to answer every question I fired. Wonderful opportunity to meet people from all over the world and share this unique experience.

We did a private food tour with Osaka JOINER and our guide Tyler. It was just my husband and me, and before we started he asked about our food preferences and dislikes, then built the whole route around us. Every stop was a genuinely local spot and Tyler was clearly on good terms with the staff everywhere we went. It was a busy night and a couple of places were packed, but he pivoted smoothly without missing a beat. Beyond helping us order, he gave us the history behind each dish and the neighborhood, and even threw in a few local ghost stories, which we really enjoyed! Highly recommend for anyone wanting an authentic, personalized taste of Osaka. One thing I would also love to see is an Osaka beauty-themed tour added to the lineup!

Sbu was a great guide and did a great job bringing us to different areas in Osaka based on what we wanted to eat. Would recommend to anyone who wants a guide through the different foods of Osaka and a person you can enjoy talking to.

We had such a nice afternoon with Rico. Minori also joined us for part of the tour and she was also super lovely and gave us some great food recommendations. We were able to fully customize the stops based on our preferences, which made it really enjoyable for us all. Rico was very easygoing, and having her with us was like walking around Osaka with a friend. She was also so lovely with our kids, they had a great time too. Would definitely recommend, thank you Rico (and Minori!)

We had Yukika as our guide and she brought us to multiple food spots to taste local cuisine that was tailored to what we liked.

Our family of three signed up for this tour in June, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We weren't sure how to get to the meeting location, but after I contacted the company through WhatsApp, they responded immediately with clear directions (tip: go through the underground mall). Our guide, Gil, was fantastic. I have to admit, when I realized he was American like we are, I initially wondered if we'd miss out on a more local perspective. I couldn't have been more wrong. Gil had an incredible depth of knowledge about Japanese food, its history, and the local neighborhood. He also connected wonderfully with our teenager, making the tour engaging for our whole family. Gil shared his own experiences learning Japanese and navigating life and culture in Japan, which added a unique and personal perspective to the tour. His enthusiasm, storytelling, and expertise made the experience both informative and enjoyable. We left with a much deeper appreciation for the food, the culture, and the area. I highly recommend this tour—and if you get Gil as your guide, you're in for a great experience!
