The excursion was top-organized, from the pickup at the hotel to the city, sandbank, Prison Island, and the return transport to the hotel. We were very satisfied. Above all, the tour guide took a lot of time and answered all questions, and also waited patiently until we had finished all our souvenir shopping. Yazantours is recommended for this excursion!!!
You start with a small boat heading to Prison Island where the Italian guide (Abu) explains a bit of everything to us and lets us visit the island inhabited by centuries-old tortoises but also by peacocks and other birds. Then you go to Nakupenda where you stop for lunch under gazebos created on the spot with seafood, meat, and plenty of fruit. Obviously enjoying this strip of land that disappears at high tide for sensational photos and clear water where you can also go snorkeling. After that, you return to Stone Town, and it was nice to walk around listening to some history of the city through the characteristic alleys, where you can certainly find everything for your souvenirs. In my case, they also acted as a taxi, picking me up from Kendwa and taking me to Pongwe at the end of it all. Thank you, thank you very much, or as they say, "Asante Sana"!
Our guides (Yahir and Yaya) were fun, knowledgeable and really took care of us. If I could change one thing about the tour, I would start with the stone town walking tour and then move onto prison island and end with Nakhipenda.
Mohammed is a very good guide and great singer. Loved the tour and enjoyed our lunch. Highly recommend it!
Our guide was very informative and shared so much interesting history and local knowledge throughout the tour. The giant tortoises were absolutely amazing to see up close, and the walk through Stone Town was fascinating. It was a great way to learn about the area's rich culture and history. A big thank you to all the guys involved in making the day so enjoyable. We really appreciated your friendliness, professionalism, and hospitality.
Thank you very Kristen Welcome again
Such an awesome experience. The sandbank was breathtaking, and the beachside lunch with fresh seafood was delicious! They give you a great portion size and continuously make sure you’re well fed and taken care of. There was also local entertainment on the sandbank. The tortoise sanctuary was awesome! We got to also see peacocks and other animals, which wasn’t expected. Then the Stonetown walking tour was the icing one cake. We got to learn so much about Zanzibar’s history and culture. We walked the streets of stone town seeing different architecture and stopped at a spice market where we could purchase spices. This was a 10/10 experience. Our tour guide Hashir was so cute and informative! Very friendly and polite!
Really beautiful experience, well organized. We went to visit prison island with the giant turtles then we stayed some hours in Nakupenda: amazing! It s a super beautiful place to do snorkeling and they cook for as an incredible lunch of fish. Then we come back to Stone Town and we made a really interesting and long trip of the city, the guide show us a lot of thing we couldn't see alone! Highly recommended!
