Nairobi National Park, Giraffe Centre en Elephant Orphanage Day Tour vanuit Nairobi

Absolutely amazing day at the National Park with Martin! We saw all the ‘big’ animals that were in the park. Martin was so good about stopping and giving us time to take photos. We had lunch at a cute spot and also did the bead factory, baby elephant orphanage, and the giraffe center. Martin made sure we were comfortable at each location and even took photos of myself and my friend as we fed the giraffes! 10/10 would recommend this tour with Martin!

This is a good tour. If you are short on time, I want to pack a lot into one day. It includes several hours of the safari park, a one hour visit to the elephant orphanage, about 30 minutes with the giraffes, and a visit to the bead factory. It had all the things we wanted to do. Note that you will not be in a Safari vehicle, but in a white van with the top cut off. I do not believe it is four-wheel-drive. It worked perfectly fine for us and many vehicles in the park looked like this. However, if you want a real Safari vehicle, this is not it. To be honest, you don’t need a real Safari vehicle when it is not raining in the park. The best part of this package is that all the tickets are prepaid, so you don’t need to wait in line to purchase tickets on arrival or carry extra cash with you to pay. The two downsides of this trip, which made it lose a star, is that our driver Wellington was 20 minutes late and did not call or communicate with us. Also he really is nothing more than a driver. He did have good communication with other guides in the park to know where many of the animals were, but he had absolutely zero knowledge of any aspects of the park. He could not provide information on the history, the geology, the plants or trees, or any animals outside of the five major safari animals. He knew zero birds, and no other wildlife information. Very limited knowledge and limited education in the field of safari tourism. If you’re looking for a basic driver this will suffice. However, do not expect him to be able to answer any detailed questions.

We booked this tour for 2 on our first full day of vacation. Highly recommended if the guide is Stephen! To give you a sense for the day: pick-up at 6.00, Nairobi National Park from about 6.45 to 10.45, Shedrick Wildlife Trust from 11.00 to noon, Giraffe Centre from 12.30 to 13.15, lunch stop from about 13.30 to 14.30, visit to Kobe Tough bead centre from 14.45 to 15.30, and home by 16.30. Stephen has been doing this for over a decade, preceded by a career as a cook on camp safaris. He knew where to take us to see the animals at the park. Gave great info about the animals (I had A LOT of questions, which he indulged) but also gave us peace and quiet to enjoy the experience. His experience shows. At Shedrick, he gave great advice about how to get the best viewing spot. And over the day, we discovered his fantastic sense of irony. Worth the time and effort!

My family and I booked this tour for our first day in Nairobi. We had an amazing time and Stephan was a great tour guide! He is very personable and worked hard to make sure we saw a lot of animals and had a fun and relaxing time. He was professional, patient, knowledgeable and very accommodating. This is a great company to book tours with. We booked the rest of our tours with this company as well. You will not be disappointed!

Wonderful day trip to Nairobi National Park, the Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center. I was in Nairobi for work and didn't have much time, so decided on a rather full day. Stephen was my guide, and I was on my own for the National Park, then joined by other people for the elephant orphanage and giraffe center. The National Park was definitely a highlight, but the day all in all was fantastic, transitions were smooth, Stephen was very helpful and made sure we all had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

We decided to go a on a day tour of the National Park and Giraffe center. It was truly the perfect amount of time. We were able to see lions, giraffes, and rhinos in the national park. Feeding the giraffes were a great experience as well. They take you to a spot for delicious lunch and a couple other spots to get genuine Kenyan Crafts. The tour guide Steven was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Would definitely book again.

Awesome trip to the Nairobi National Park. My guide Kelvin was the best, truly a 5 star experience. I highly recommend this trip. Nothing is better than seeing wild lions just miles away from downtown Nairobi with lots of other wildlife and beautiful sights. You won’t be disappointed.

Great and quick service from the office . Our guide Bonni is the best! He really made his best to make our two trips perfect. He was a good driver and really engaged.

We're 4 friends who booked this trip from home and didn't know what to expect, but everyhting was planned perfectly and on time! The facts and information throughout the day was really good, especially in the National Park. We're extremely pleased with the day trip, and will use again for future trips.
