Kazuri, afgeleid van het Swahili woord voor "klein en mooi", werd in 1975 opgericht door Lady Susan Wood in Nairobi, Kenia met niet veel dan een liefde voor het verzamelen van kralen en een droom om werkgelegenheid te creëren voor vrouwen uit het gebied. Zo ontstond een bescheiden werkplaats met twee medewerkers en begon een opmerkelijke reis. Eind jaren tachtig was de operatie verhuisd van Woods’ tuinhuis naar een fabriek waar meer dan 100 mensen werkten. Snel vooruit naar het heden, Kazuri blijft een wereldberoemd merk en kampioen van duurzame, handgemaakte sieraden. Elke ketting, armband en oorbel draagt de essentie van de toewijding en creativiteit van de maker, waardoor het echt uniek is. Op voorraad in verschillende landen en gedragen door fans zoals Meryl Streep, gaat het merk verder in een lange en rijke erfenis van versiering in Kenia terwijl het de schoonheid en natuur van het land viert door middel van duurzaam vervaardigde sieraden.
