It was an ok tour but we didn't really see inside many places. The guide suggested spots to take photos but they were not very good. I couldn't understand why i would want a photo of the entrance to a garden we didn't visit.
I ordered a bus tour and got a walking tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eric was great! He is very knowledgeable about Nairobi city and shared the history of the city with me. Very personable and patient! Had a great time.
The Nairobi City Tour was a fantastic way to explore the heart of the city. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Nairobi’s history and culture. We visited key landmarks, learned about the city's colonial past, and even got tips on where to find the best local food. That said, I was surprised by the cost—especially considering that similar experiences are offered for free through platforms like Guruwalk. While the quality of the tour was solid, the price felt a bit steep in comparison. If you're budget-conscious, it’s worth checking out Guruwalk first. Overall, a memorable experience with lots of insight—jus
We had a wonderful tour that really taught us about the history and cultural of the CBD - great to see the political points of power too
It requires good condition and a lot of attention when doing the tour. It’s around the busiest areas of the city and you might be a little surprised by the traffic chaos, but it’s to really see how you live in the city. Clearly essential to go with a local guide. The city may not be as surprising as its customs and some curious facts. Eric was our local guide, arrived on time and was very friendly to us all the way. The only thing I didn’t like so much was having to enter a point of crafts where you are almost forced to buy something. What I loved is that my partner was looking for something specific and took us until she got it.
We had a wonderful 3-hour walking tour through the vibrant streets of Nairobi. Our guide, Daniel, was simply outstanding — knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing the history and cultural perspectives of Kenya. His storytelling made the city come alive in a way that every visitor will remember. A highlight of the walk was the visit to the City Market, where the colors, energy, and local interactions gave us a truly authentic experience. This tour is ideal for anyone arriving in Nairobi in the morning and looking to make the most of their time before heading out on safari. It’s the perfect introduction to the city and highly recommended for first-time visitors. Tips: Wear comfortable walking shoes — the tour covers a fair bit of ground. Carry a bottle of water, especially on warm days. Be ready for some lively market scenes — it’s part of the charm! Keep a little cash handy if you’d like to pick up souvenirs at the City Market.
My friend and I took this walking tour after successfully being able to book it pretty last minute. The meeting point says Simba street, but when I messaged a tour operator I was given more specific information that, at least for this tour, we were to meet in front of a shoe store called City Walk. Daniel, our tour guide, was so friendly and informative and answered all our of questions, and gave information about things I wouldn’t have even thought to ask, which was great. We went to all the places listed, and he gave us time to look around as much as we wanted before moving on. I will note, our guide was a little late, which wasn’t a problem for us at all, and I only mention it because it can be a little nerve-wracking when a tour you paid for starts late, but usually when I travel abroad I assume there will be differences in punctuality (and I messaged the tour operator on TripAdvisor so we got updates, too) , so it’s helpful to factor in that consideration when making plans. Highly recommend this tour, I’m so glad to have gone on it.
I had a great tour with William! William was super informative and conversational. It ended up being just us for the tour and as a female solo traveler it’s really important to feel comfortable and he made sure I was. William answered all of my questions to concerns.
An excellent way to get familiar with history and culture of Kenya and with layout and habits of Nairobi. The guru Daniel is very knowledgeable, attentive to the needs of the group, willing to answer questions to the best of his ability. Highly recommend.
