In het Nagasaki Atoombommuseum kun je tentoonstellingen bekijken over de gebeurtenissen van 9 augustus 1945 en de impact van de atoombom op de stad. Bekijk foto's, artefacten en persoonlijke verhalen die de tragedie en veerkracht van de burgers van Nagasaki illustreren. Het is een plek om te leren, te reflecteren en een dieper inzicht te krijgen in de geschiedenis en het belang van vrede.
Het observatiedek biedt een van de meest adembenemende panoramische uitzichten in Japan, vaak de “10 Million Dollar Night View” genoemd. Vanaf hier kunt u genieten van een prachtig uitzicht op de unieke haven van Nagasaki en de omliggende bergen. Zelfs overdag is het landschap prachtig en biedt het een perfecte fotomogelijkheid.

Dejima was een klein kunstmatig eiland dat diende als Japans enige toegangspoort tot de buitenwereld tijdens de periode van nationaal isolement. Op de observatiepunten kunt u zien hoe het ooit van het vasteland was gescheiden en leren over zijn rol in de handel met de Nederlands en de uitwisseling van cultuur en kennis.
Bezoek Meganebashi (Brilbrug), een van de meest geliefde bezienswaardigheden van Nagasaki. De dubbele bogen die in de rivier weerspiegeld worden, creëren de vorm van een bril — een perfecte plek voor foto's en een rustige wandeling door het historische hart van de stad.
In de Oura-kerk kunt u de oudste christelijke kerk van Japan bezoeken en een UNESCO-werelderfgoedlocatie. Verken het historische gebouw en leer over de geschiedenis van het christendom in Nagasaki. Het is een kans om prachtige architectuur te zien en het unieke culturele en religieuze erfgoed van de stad te begrijpen.
Bij Glover Garden kunt u westerse woningen uit de 19e eeuw verkennen op een heuvel met uitzicht op de haven van Nagasaki. Wandel door de tuinen, geniet van panoramische uitzichten en kom alles te weten over de buitenlandse handelaren die de modernisering van Japan hebben beïnvloed. Het is een geweldige plek om foto's te maken, de geschiedenis te ervaren en te genieten van een schilderachtig uitzicht over de stad.

Pick-up is beschikbaar op elke locatie binnen 2 km van Nagasaki Station. Helaas kunnen we geen pick-up verzorgen buiten dit gebied. Voor gasten die met een cruiseschip arriveren, halen we u op bij Matsugae International Terminal (Sasebo-haven is niet beschikbaar). Als u in een hotel verblijft, bevestigen wij de hotelnaam. Andere vergaderlocaties kunnen ook geregeld worden. We wisselen vooraf contactinformatie uit via WhatsApp en stemmen de details af voor de tourdag. Op de dag van de rondleiding zal ik een bord met uw naam vasthouden om u te verwelkomen.

Hiro and Vichka provided a private, customized, English speaking tour of the highlights of Nagasaki. It was fantastic!!! From pickup to each of these points of interest: The Peace Park, the Hypocenter Park, the Atomic Bomb Museum, the beautiful and breathtaking views from the Mt. Inasa Observatory, the Megane Bridge and the Oura Cathedral with a bit of shopping at the end of the tour was all that we could have asked for in a four hour tour.

I had chosen to book an excursion to Huis Ten Bosch Theme Park in Nagasaki with a large cruise line, and that excursion was canceled without notice at the last moment. My heart was set on visiting the Theme Park, and so I immediately began researching companies with which I could arrange a private tour. We enjoyed our tour of Nagasaki with our guide, Adrianne. She met us early at the Sasebo port and drove us to Nagasaki where she started the tour at the Peace Park. We had a wonderful tour of Nagasaki by our tour guide, Adrianne. She met us at the port of Sasebo on time and drove us to Nagasaki where she expertly guided us to all of the highlights of the city. We toured the Peace Park, getting us there right at 11:02 when the bomb was dropped. She pointed out all of the highlights and took pictures of us. Then she took us to the hypocenter and showed us the ground level after attack. We then visited the museum and she explained all of the highlights. Afterwards she took us to the top of the tallest mountain overlooking Nagasaki for absolutely stunning views. She took us to the shrine gate that was still standing after the explosion and then to the oldest bridge in Nagasaki before returning us to our ship in plenty of time to set sail. We couldn’t have had a better day in Nagasaki!

We booked our trip already for our visit to Nagasaki, Hiromi met us on time, very friendly and patient when Hubby took a long time in the peace museum.
