Geniet van het prachtige uitzicht en de zonsopgang vanaf het beste uitzichtpunt van de vallei op dit Nagarkot Sunrise View ééndaagse pakket dat ook een wandeling naar een van de UNESCO-werelderfgoedlocaties van Nepal, Changunarayan, omvat. Deze Nagarkot Sunrise View en dagwandeling naar Changunarayan zullen je vroeg in de ochtend opwinden met een betoverend uitzicht op vele glorieuze toppen van Nepal zoals de berg Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, Mt Everest en 8 van de 13 bergketens die schittert in de vroege zonsopgang, inclusief een panoramisch uitzicht op de vallei en Shivpuri National Park. Na zo'n fantastische start in de vroege ochtend, wandel naar Changunarayan met prachtige natuurwandeling te midden van het bos van pijnbomen en terrasvormige boerderijen die typische en lokale dorpen van Tamang en Newar gemeenschap doorkruisen. In Changunarayan zult u onder de indruk zijn van het steen- en houtsnijwerk en de sculpturen van hindoeïstische en tantrische goden die u het rijke en oude erfgoed van Nepal laten zien.

Reisroute
U begint de reis naar Nagarkot voor zonsopgang. De rit is ongeveer anderhalf uur naar Nagarkot View Point. Nagarkot is een heuvelstation dat beroemd is om zijn uitzicht op zonsopgang en zonsondergang met een panoramisch landschap. De rit gaat door de lokale nederzettingen omringd door bomen. Als je het uitzichtpunt bereikt, neem dan een plekje om te genieten van de prachtige zonsopgang boven de torenhoge Himalaya. Het perspectief geeft u een glimp van 8 Himalaya-bereiken, waaronder vele besneeuwde toppen zoals Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Annapurna en zelfs de Mount Everest vanaf het punt. U zult de felle zonnestralen observeren die het topje van bergen raken, waardoor ze van helder oranje en rood naar sneeuwwit van kleur veranderen. U kunt ook hieronder kijken om het ongelooflijke uitzicht op de vallei en de Indrawati rivier in het oosten te vinden. Neem op dit moment de tijd om zulke prachtige natuurverschijnselen te observeren voordat u afdaalt naar Changunarayan.
Met zo'n prachtig uitzicht op de bergen is het pad gevuld met een bos van dennen, terrasvormige boerderijen van lokale dorpelingen en een typisch klein dorpje. De natuurwandeling is fris en verfrissend, met een prachtige sfeer om je heen. Je wandelt rustig in de schoot van de natuur tot je in de kleine dorpjes Brahmin, Newars en Tamang gemeenschap terecht komt. U steekt dan geleidelijk het pad over en neemt de grindweg en het lokale pad naar Changunarayan.
Nadat u daar van uw moment heeft genoten, volgt u een uitstekend pad bergafwaarts. Het pad biedt een panoramisch uitzicht op bergen langs de weg. Onderweg wordt u opgefrist door de frisse berglucht en serene sfeer. Je kunt de Himalayatoppen zien vanuit de ooghoeken die fel schijnen door de zonnestralen.
Terwijl we naar Nagarkot zonsopgang uitzicht en dag wandelen gaan, bezoek je dit kleine mooie plekje van Boeddha vredespark. Een van de kleine standbeelden van Heer Boeddha, een mooi ingerichte tuin met een prachtig uitzicht over de jungle is geweldig. Rust even uit en geniet van het maken van een mooie foto van wandelen hier.
Laat u verrassen door een waar meesterwerk uit de Nepalese geschiedenis: de Changu Narayan Tempel. Als oudste hindoetempel in de Kathmandu-vallei is dit UNESCO-werelderfgoed een "levend museum" van onbetaalbare kunst, waarvan de oorsprong teruggaat tot de 4e-eeuwse Licchavi-periode. Gelegen op een schilderachtige heuveltop omringd door Champak bomen, biedt deze heilige plaats een prachtig panoramisch uitzicht op de omliggende vallei. Uw Gids leidt u naar een binnenplaats vol artistieke schatten. Hier kun je het mooiste houtsnijwerk en steenhouwwerk van heel Nepal zien. Bewonder de vier ingangen van de tempel, elk beschermd door een paar mythische stenen beesten. De binnenplaats is een galerij van oude beelden, waaronder de iconische Garuda, de angstaanjagende Narasimha en de meerarmige Vishworup (een vorm van Heer Vishnu). Mis de legendarische stenen pilaar met de oudst bekende Sanskrietinscriptie in Nepal niet. Dit is een essentiële, must-see stop voor elke liefhebber van geschiedenis, kunst en cultuur.

The team contacted me immediately after booking and kept confirming the timing before the trip. Even though I accidentally gave the wrong hotel address, the driver and staff were still very kind and quickly came to pick us up without any complaints. Our driver, Ganesh, arrived exactly at 4:00 AM and drove very safely through the mountain roads. Although the weather forecast showed rain, we decided to try our luck — and we were so happy we did! We were able to see a beautiful sea of clouds, part of the sunrise, and some amazing Himalayan views. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. If you have limited time, this is a great experience to try. Of course, the weather cannot be controlled, so seeing Everest is not guaranteed, but it is definitely worth it!

We were up super early for our hike with Shishir, our guide for the morning. Sadly, the weather was not in our favour and we never saw the Himalayas at sunrise from the lookout at Nagarcot. Afterwards, we opted to stop for an 'international' breakfast at a hotel which, in hindsight, turned out to be expensive and not worth the additional cost of 1600 rupees per person. I wish we'd gone for a cheaper, Nepalese breakfast, an option also offered to us. I very much wanted to experience more of Nepal as we were staying in the heart of Kathmandu with its bustling city vibe and the hike took us out of the city for an authentic experience of rural Nepal. We passed through small villages as the villagers went about their everyday business. We watched goats chewing on their breakfast; walked through forests of fir and eucalyptus trees; passed temples and monuments with some wonderful views over Kathmandu valley on our way to Changu Narayan, the oldest Hindu temple in Nepal. Shishir, our very charming Nepalese guide, shared a wealth of information with us along the way. We are a bit older (60's) and not as fit as many hikers, I'm sure, but this 4 hour hike was not too challenging and Shishir adjusted to our pace.

Last minute decision to do a solo trip for my birthday and what better way to start the day than with a morning sunrise! The day was just perfect and the guide Shishir had a big part in that! He was so very kind and really has a passion for teaching and nature and it was apparent in the hike/tour. After the sunrise, we had a wonderful local breakfast and then started our hike down the mountain (through villages and local temples) to Changunarayan Temple. I highly recommend this tour and with Shishir, you won't be disappointed! *TIPS* Bring plenty of water and light snacks as the tour is over 6 hours and temperatures do rise also dress in layers! Bring cash for breakfast, to shop near Changunarayan Temple (beautiful handmade art and carvings from locals) and tip for the guide/driver.

I did the Sunrise hike and view and it was spectacular, the hike itself was breathtaking! The people were warm and friendly and the atmosphere was very jovial. Special thanks to my guide Shishir who had great knowledge on history, culture and the natural fauna of the area! Highly recommend this hike!
