Nagarkot is een van de dichtstbijzijnde en populaire heuvels van Kathmandu. Nagarkot is een dorp ongeveer 36 km ten oosten van de Kathmandu-vallei op een hoogte van bijna 2.165 m boven zeeniveau. Als een van de meest schilderachtige plekjes in de regio, staat Nagarkot bekend om zijn uitzicht op de zonsopgang van de Himalaya. Je kunt de Mount Everest met zijn besneeuwde toppen observeren en er is een uitkijktoren helemaal bovenaan de heuvels van het dorp. Acht van de 13 Himalayagebergten in Nepal, zoals Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Jugal, Rolwaling, Mahalangur (Everest), Numbur zijn vanaf hier te zien. Je hebt ook een panoramisch uitzicht op de Kathmandu-vallei en het Shivapuri National Park.

Bezoek de hoogste pagode of tempel in Nepalese stijl in Kathmandu. Die in de 17e eeuw werd gebouwd door koning Bhupatendra Malla. Ook bezoeken we de Bhairab-tempel in de buurt van de Nyatapola-tempel.
We bezoeken het pottenbakkersplein in Bhaktapur en observeren hoe ze aardewerk spullen bouwen.

What a great sunrise 🌄 tour from Kathmandu. We have an excellent view of Himalayas. After Nagarkot Hill sunrise and Himalayas view we went to Bhaktapur. The view of the Himalayas depends on the weather. The day we went the weather was good. We had a really great view of the mountains. Our guide was able to point out various peaks, including Everest. The second half of the tour was interesting. Our guide was good and very friendly. We are glad we took the tour.

The weather was beautiful and the mountains were clear. Durbar Square in Bhaktapur is huge. Earthquake damage prevented us from seeing some buildings. This tour was pricey, but it was a good experience.
