Nagano Ski Buffet

My Japan Powder Culture tour was amazing (Feb 1-7, 2026). Jase was extremely organized, and my whole week was full of Powder in the trees. The guides all knew the mountains very well and I hope to return yearly for this awesome experience. From the hotels to the breakfast, Ski Shuttle, awesome tunes and people, skiing all day, lunch, dinner, and then repeat. It rivals the helicopter and snow cat skiing I've done in the past. It was definitely a slice of paradise and the highlight of my year.

This Jace Japan Powder ski trip was amazing and perfect. It was comparable to the helicopter weeklong ski trips I have been on. each group was perhaps up to six people of similar abilities, following one guide into the trees in untouched Powder. Each of the guides had excellent knowledgeof the different resorts. Jace led an excellent tour and group of people all the way from hotel to breakfast to ski Shuttle to skiing , lunch and dinner and onsen. I would not hesitate to recommend this amazing tour to anybody who likes skiing in the trees and Powder or anyone who just wants to explore JapanPow and new resorts en piste or off piste. Great music in the shuttle to and from the slopes. Good energy and good vibes. I hope to return yearly to have a similar awesome experience.

It can easily be the best snowtrip of your life. I had a blast: developed my powder skills a little bit, met a bunch of friendly people from all over the world, tried a new japanese board, tried some food I´ve never seen before. I really recomend the Snow Monkey Lodge - if you get a single bedroom you'll sleep just fine. It´s like a small business, so the staff is friendly and always helpful. They offer diferent restaurants and activities but the real gem is the feeling that we have the whole mountain all to ourselves somedays. Can´t wait to get back there again.

We had an amazing experience with Japan Powder Culture Tours. Traveling as a group of 12 snowboarders, we really appreciated how well the guides managed the group and adapted each day to our abilities and expectations. Snow conditions were great, but what stood out most was the effort to always find the best runs and avoid crowds. The trip also went far beyond snowboarding—exploring quieter mountain regions, enjoying local food, and visiting onsens made it feel like a much more complete and authentic experience. Everything felt thoughtfully planned and executed. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

I recently did the 10 night ski buffet with JCT. Jase and his team do a great job of organising groups of skiers into suitable ability categories to ensure the maximum use of time on the mountain, which where possible is spent skiing untracked powder in the trees of Shiga Kogen ,even 3 or 4 days after the last snowfall. In the evenings restaurants are booked for you and transport arranged . While I was on the tour everything ran smoothly and as a single it gave me a great opportunity to ski off piste and socialise with other people . I would recommend this company to anyone who wishes to get the best out of a visit to Shiga Kogen .

Jase and his crew did an outstanding job. We skied the trees for four days and found powder every day. They do an excellent job of matching your ability to the group and terrain. HIs guides are professional and friendly. I have skied all over the US and Europe. This is a unique experience and I will be back!

Best Powder hunters! Very organised and competent.

Loved the 8 days I spent with Jase and the JPCT crew. The one thing they cant control is the weather, and I landed during some kind of heatwave. As unfortunate as this was, the guides were still able to find cheeky pockets of out-of-the-sun powder in the trees, very impressive. But then the snow landed on day 5 and I had the best ski day of my life. Outside of the skiing, everything is well organised and always a good laugh. The local restaurants are great, and Jase does a great job of getting everyone to where they need to be. I stayed at the snow monkey lodge which is the budget option, and was very happy. Big room with a very comfortable bed, hot showers and onsen, good breakfast. Thanks for the fun times guys, I'll be back!

Highly recommend powder ski tours. They cater to all levels and groups or solo travellers. The staff are extremely experienced skiers and guides. It’s a well run Family business- they are very responsive and flexible and happy to tailor the tour to individual needs. There are a range of accomodation options according to budget and I recommend snow monkey lodge for its clean and comfy atmosphere and of course the onsen. I hope to return next year !

JPC Tours is a stand-out unique ski fun adventure and I totally recommend to all who seek deep snow, lots of trees, skilled guides and most of all incredible fun. We travelled as two very active "60something" males seeking the powder experience and we got it. Jase and his team were very friendly and had great sense of humor but also ran tight and efficient ship with everything running to time...... You learn very quickly "Don't Be Late !" On the slopes wise consideration is given to skiers fitness and ability to ensure appropriate matching into groups so that all groups enjoy themselves and are safe. Our guides were kind and guided with considered confidence, but allowed us to have our own fun . We spent most time with Patrick and Meg so have to give them the big "Awesome" but we also skied with Naru, Evan, Trevor, Tom and of course Jase. All were very cool and we were guided to some awesome pow even several days after the last big fall. Then it snowed some more! Accommodation was great. We enjoyed the very special boutique Yumoto family run hotel .... Very authentic surrounds and service. We loved it. The younger set may prefer the more communal and group orientated Omodaka, Either way you still join the post ski activities together. Bus trips are entertaining if not a little crowded which sort of adds to the fun vibe. This is not a "drinking sitting in the cafe all day" excursion, nor is it for the faint of heart. Be prepared to take instruction and humorous but constructive critique We skied hard and deep all day with some well earned but moderate refreshments after the day was done. A welcome onsen, some fun dinners and quaint entertainment to round the night off before getting up early the next day to do it all again ENSURE YOU ARE FIT BEFORE YOU COME so you wont waste this wonderful opportunity. The rental skies are adequate for most skiers but some are a bit tired so if you want elite skis bring your own fatties I totally recommend JPCT and hope to do it again soon.
