Nafplion: Mycene-Epidavros

We beginnen onze reis vanuit Nafplion en onze eerste stop is de archeologische vindplaats Mycene. We zullen reizen naar het mythische koninkrijk Agamemnon, waar zich een van de meest briljante culturen van de Griekse prehistorie ontwikkelde, de Myceense beschaving. We gaan dan naar de Lions Gate, de monumentale ingang van de paleizen. Vervolgens zullen we de Cyclopische muren rond de Akropolis zien, en de tholos-graven van Atreus en Clytemnestra's, die allemaal must-see attracties zijn voor liefhebbers van de oude wereld. We vervolgen de tour naar het oude Epidaurus, waar we het oude theater van een van de beroemdste archeologische monumenten in Griekenland verkennen. We zullen ook de Asclepieion van Epidaurus bezoeken, die het centrum was voor het genezen van ernstige ziekten voor het hele oude Griekenland. Veel monumenten ontwikkelden zich eromheen, met name de tempel van Asklepios, Tholos en anderen.

Excellent agency. This was one of 5 days of arrangements. Gina did a good job of coordinating car and drivers to meet our needs. If I had to do over again we would definitely contact her again.
We explored the ancient ruins of Mycenae and then the large stadium of Epidavros. It was a very sweet and peaceful excursion. We were driven to the sites and then experienced it on our own - which was excellent for us. Our pickup and dropoff was easy and timely.
Christos was our driver. He was attentive, timely, and took good care of our group of 3. We greatly appreciated his sharing of his love for his city. We enjoyed our time with him
After a lengthy visit to many attractions associated with Mykines Archaeological Site, our tour group stopped in the waterfront village of Nafplion for a quick respite aka rest stop. We had an hour to stroll and stimulate the local economy but given the size of private yachts in the harbor, I had a feeling that giftshops would be pricey. Yep! The stroll along stone streets and viewing a few artifacts made the visit worthwhile. I was astounded at the size and condition of cannonballs and a snub-nose cannon depicted in the accompanying photos. After leaving, I learned that a historic castle was nearby, but since the guide didn’t mention it I assume there was not enough time for tour members to visit. Still, the quaint village is a pleasant sojourn.
Our driver Kostas was very helpful. He was friendly and prompt. He is not a tour guide. He is driver who picks you up from your hotel, drives you to the designated ancient sites then finally back to your hotel.
Good experience to visit two archeological sites from Nafplio very easily The trip was practical and efficient.
Said there was an audio tour which was a lie. Driver only. The driver tried to call the company they didn’t answer. This is not acceptable. I have a hire car I could have driven my self. Poor driver was embarrassed and played a 2min clip from YouTube to try make the best of the situation.
Non of our tours include audio guide. The inclution was added by Viator automatically. We have informed the client the previous day by message through Viator, that there is no guide of any kind to the booking they selectd. The client was fully informed. the driver indeed contacted the company, which explained exactly the inclutions for this booking once again. All calls to the company are always getting through.
This was transportation and not guided tour but George was very informative and responded to our questions. We thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable car and friendly atmosphere.
This day tour has been ideal, with the hot weather and high temperatures having a driver like George, everything was perfect, smooth and easy
We had a great time in the Nafplio, Epidavros & Mycenae areas because with ended up with Cristo. He was knowledgeable of the areas. Cristo was friendly and courteous. He also very helpful - he was more into sharing rather than the financial aspect. My wife and I are so thankful that we booked and had Cristo with us!
