When booking we thought we were going to get a narration of the City monuments, artifacts, some music, entertainment, trivia, etc. all we got was a bus ride through the city. The bus had trash scattered all over the floor and the seats very unkempt. The least the staff could do was clean between each scheduled ride. We had to move empty soda bottles off of the seats out of the way just to sit down. There was a computer screen, but it indicated the service was down so I’m assuming that was the entertainment we were promised. It seemed attendants were more engrossed in selling tickets then providing the entertainment & CLEAN RIDE which should’ve come along with the ticket ride.
The description said it was with a LIVE tour guide. It is not. We were given headphones with a monotone voice narrating the trip. Very disappointed.
We booked this plus the daily hop on hop off service as it seemed a good deal and we were promised to see the fireworks on the 250th anniversary independence day celebration. What a disaster! Previous riders would not get off - police eventually called - long delay setting off. Then some people pushed in the line , would not step back - police again- more delay. Eventually left - heavy traffic - so did not get to fireworks viewing and saw nothing. On the day by day use - inconsistent timing - queues - poor "thrown in" river trip - uncomfortable and tatty vehicles ....... Staff were great but little else about Top View buses positive. There are others - Big Bus but they might be just as bad. Good luck all - I don't know what to recommend!
Fun way to see NYC from a slightly elevated vantage point, during a sunset moving over a bridge. Pretty sweet!
It was cut short after waiting for a hour and a half. Lssted about 20 minutes. I complained and got no responce. A total waist of my money
Ebi and Isaiah took excellent care of us. They made sure we were able to have outside for the night tour. Excellent customer service!
Very nice experience. We did NOT cross the Brooklyn Bridge (as thought we would) but we got a view of the Brooklyn Bridge as we crossed the Manhattan Bridge into Brooklyn and turned around and cross Manhattan Bridge back in to Manhattan.
Was pouring rain didn’t get to enjoy the ride also bus broke down we had to get off and waited 30-40 minutes for them to bring a new bus to finish the ride
Very late bus arrival. Employee letting a couple and their child on the bus prior to those who had been queuing for well over an hour (I take it a small extra payment may have been made to the employee…). Despite delays they were still trying to sell tickets. No organisation at all. Opted for the audio tour which was a drab Chat GPTesque monotone voice.
The staff didn't really know what to do with the bar code from Viator. It was really a pretty mediocre experience all told. Uncomfortable seats, minimal (and pre-recorded) narration, and limited scope of the tour. But my twelve year old thought it was very cool.
