Transportation to and from our hotel went smoothly, and the two guides were very nice. Overall, however, we had expected much more; in the two hours we saw a few frogs and spiders, but nothing else. It rained heavily, so you should wear rainproof clothing—sturdy footwear is especially important, as it was very slippery at times. The guide was in a big hurry, so be prepared for that. I wouldn’t recommend the tour for older people or families with children. Overall, the value for money wasn’t right for us, unfortunately.

Elias has a genuine interest in the ecosystem of Costa Rica and it comes through as he guided us. He shared his knowledge of both plants and animals of the area, along with their history. Even though the rain may have made it more difficult, we were still able to see some amphibians and insects and learn a bit about them, and their role in the ecosystem. Most importantly, he kept us safe from any potential jaguar. Compared to a hike during the daytime, a night hike makes you more aware of the sounds and certain animals are nocturnal. Definitely worth consideration if it sounds interesting to you.

Easy to find and an easy leisurely walk. Saw many many red eyed frogs, the translucent frog, red poison dart frog, a couple sloths, snake, and many insects. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend!

We enjoyed the tour! Make sure you bring a rain coat. We came in supposedly "dry season" and there were drizzles. We were able to see a lot of animals (strawberry dart frog, toucan, sloth, etc.).

Our guide was able to spot things we would never see on our own. We saw many frogs and got a surprise owl sighting! He explained that you can determine what's nearby based on the sound. We even smelled that a wild boar passed by recently. Make sure to dress for rain showers. Some times it was hard to hear the guide talk over the rain.

We had a lovely time! The guides showed us animals that we would never have been able to see including snakes, lizards, and sloths. It was a fun group and our kids (ages 5 and 7) enjoyed a lot!

Great experience. Saw the red eye tree frogs, an armadillo, a sleeping toucan, snakes, and a lot of others things. We were skeptical because the park is right by the town, but the guide did a great job finding all the animals.

We saw exactly what we wanted, various types of frogs, many types!! Very friendly guide, friendly and gave us lots of information!!

the best guide in the world! I knew a lot and managed to find amazing and well hidden animals, told us all the details and was super cheerful
