Kom langs en maak kennis met een totaal buitengewone kant van de stad terwijl je na zonsondergang met ons door de wijken wandelt. Wandel door het historische centrum, luister naar stadsverhalen en achterafstraatjes, proef traditionele "Mezedes" (lokale tapas) en geniet van de beste lokale sterke drank op verschillende locaties, in een Athene dat alleen bekend is bij de lokale bevolking! - Ga op een schemerige wandeltocht door Athene met een kleine groep - Bezoek bezienswaardigheden en beroemde pleinen en hoor stedelijke mythen en legendes over een van de oudste steden ter wereld - Ontdek drie verschillende lokale bars en proef bekroonde Griekse wijnen en lokale sterke dranken zoals ouzo, raki en tsipouro. - Geniet van een bord traditionele meze, de lokale tapas van Griekenland.

Laat ons je tijdens deze avondtour door Athene een andere kant van de stad laten zien onder het maanlicht, buurten die niet vaak bezocht worden door toeristen en plaatsen waar je de kans krijgt om te socializen met de lokale bevolking. Het oude Athene is overdag overal, maar als de zon ondergaat, onthult de ware magie van de stad je.
Volg de voetsporen van beroemde persoonlijkheden terwijl je langs oude paden en achterstraten loopt, leer over lokale verhalen en mythen, luister naar spookachtige verhalen en roddels met beroemde bezoekers en bekijk het bloeiende nachtleven van Athene. Grieken, houden van het leven en alles wat de "Zorba" in hen wakker maakt, en vertrouw ons, want je wilt niet dat de nacht eindigt! Terwijl je je een weg baant door de achterstraten van de stad, ontdek je enkele van de coolste plekken van de stad en ontdek je waarom niemand voor 12 uur naar bed gaat in de oudste hoofdstad van Europa.
Bezoek onder andere drie themabars in verborgen binnenplaatsen, bewonder de prachtige Akropolis die wordt gemarkeerd vanaf een geheim dak, dwaal door steegjes vol met alternatieve locaties en meng je onder de lokale bevolking in de favoriete ontmoetingsplaatsen van Atheners.
In een lokale taverne heb je de mogelijkheid om te genieten van enkele lokale drinktradities, zoals het proeven van ouzo en raki, perfect gecombineerd met heerlijke lokale hapjes. Theo was a fantastic guide and extremely knowledgeable about the historical and cultural aspects of central Athens - with a great sense of humour. He showed us streets, restaurants and bohemian sights which we would never have found - or indeed explored - on our own. A great evening and an unforgettable experience.
Definitely would recommend Athens Local Adventures and their Nightlife Athens Tour. Our guide Grecian’s high energy and deep knowledge of modern Athens as well as its deep history was unmatched. Our small group never felt like a bunch of strangers, but more like friends and family doing a night on the town. A great way to see the city, feel the culture and would do this every time we come to Athens.

Wouldn't recommend as they are not accommodating. I had travel issues coming from the USA and my flight was delayed so i wasn't going to make the nightlife tour . I let them know ahead of time and asked if they would let me know where they are at to meet when I do make it off my flight or a refund and they declined both. They were meant to be my first stop in Athens and it was a total bust, with no help or accommodation from them. Ive used others since then that have been amazing and helpful & would recommend a different nightlife experience.
6:42 PM You sent Hello Ashia. What a lovely revenge review! Ashia, thank God all our communication is via Viator from where you booked your tour. On the day of the tour (so less than 24 hours as per the Viator cancellation policy) you contacted me asking for a refund as your flight was delayed or if you could catch up with the tour halfway through the tour. I replied immediately, that unfortunately, when our guide starts the tour he doesn't pick up phones as he has it on silent mode as his job is to guide and entertain the guests and not talk on phones but I was generous enough to inform you that you could participate the next evening with NO EXTRA cost! Of course, apart from being rude the only thing that you wanted was "your money back" and as I said I can't violate the cancellation terms and conditions and that you should contact your travel insurance for the delayed flight, you threatened to put a negative review, which you did! So being "accommodate" for you means refunding you last minute and as we couldn't do it (we always pay in advance for your food and drink stops at the venues and that's why there is a 24 hour cancellation policy) you took revenge by writing this review. I will let the readers decide on the quality of your review and wish you a nice time in Greece.
This was our second time doing this tour with Theo because he's so wonderful as a guide and the restaurants he chooses are so delicious. If you want the best of Greek cuisine and a guide to the area and nightlife around Syntagma Square, this is the perfect tour for you!

This is my second time doing this tour with Theo and let me tell you, he just keeps getting better! I did this tour with my family back in 2017 and again with my wife in 2023. Both times, Theo takes the time to learn your name, where your from and adapt the tour to the group and the people that he is guiding. From the last time to the most recent time, the tour expanded to a longer and larger tour with more sights, more food and the best drinking spots in Athens! No need to eat before this tour as you get three good meals paired with drinks and even a little ice cream in there as well! Plus as a bit of a surprise that I won’t ruin, you end the tour at one of the coolest spots in the city. Theo takes the time to make sure each table is reserved in advance so there is no waiting, no paying the bill and water is served at each spot! Please please please take my word this is a great tour that I would totally recommend early in your trip! Theo also takes the time to collect your email to send you a whole list of things to do, see and drink all over Athens so you can explore with local recommendations even after the tour! 100% worth it for couples and drinking age family members! We booked a private tour with hotel pick up through Viator. We waited for 45 minutes and no one showed up. Will be expecting a full refund.
Hello Katie! As I explained on the phone I truly apologize for this inconvenience as unfortunately, we hadn't realized that this was a Private tour and our guide was waiting at the meeting point! I tried calling you when we realized that it was a No Show but again unfortunately I couldn't get through until 45 minutes later when we eventually spoke on the phone. Katie, from all our reviews you will see that we take extra care of our customers and always strive for the best. Apart from this human error from our operations staff (Not inputting the booking as private) we have never left any customers unsatisfied. I once again apologize for this bad experience and hopefully, we will be able to host you in the future!
THEO IS AMAZING!! I am a solo female traveler and I felt SO safe with Theo as my guide! I was lucky enough to have a private tour and had the most amazing time. Theo showed me places I would have never found on my own! Let me tell you, the best places are hard to find without a local, so doing this tour is essential to seeing the real Athens at night!
