Een van de meest verbazingwekkende reizen om de zonsopgang op de top van de berg Sinaï te zien en de Mozesberg te zien en dan 's ochtends terug te keren om het klooster van Sint-Catharina te bezoeken. De Sint-Catharina wordt beschouwd als een van de oudste kloosters ter wereld, gebouwd in 545 na Christus in opdracht van keizerin Helen, moeder van keizer Constantijn. Het klooster van Sint-Catharina ligt in de Zuid-Sinaï op een afstand van 230 km van de stad Sharm el-Sheikh. De tour begint met het ophalen van je hotel in Sharm El Sheikh en ongeveer 3 uur rijden om de berg Sinaï te bereiken. Je begint de berg te trekken samen met een professionele bedoeïenengids. Trekking de berg duurt ongeveer 3-4 uur. Je zult de zonsopgang zien en dan naar beneden gaan en het St. Catherine-klooster bezoeken voordat je terugkeert naar Sharm El Sheikh.

Na terugkomst van de berg Sinaï en het zien van de berg Mozes, bezoekt u het Sint-Catharinaklooster. Het Grieks-orthodox-christelijke klooster van St. Catharina ligt aan de voet van de berg Sinaï (Mozesberg) en ligt ongeveer 1585 meter boven de zeespiegel. Dit klooster wordt beschouwd als een van de oudste christelijke kloosters en op deze plaats kwamen de drie monotheïstische religies samen met de islam, het christendom en het jodendom. Er zijn nu meer dan 20 monniken in het klooster, waar ze regelmatig wonen en aanbidden. De kloosterbibliotheek is misschien wel de oudste christelijke bibliotheken die tegenwoordig bestaat. Deze bibliotheek bevat meer dan 6.000 manuscripten in verschillende talen, waaronder ongeveer 6.000 manuscripten uit de oudheid, en sommige zijn ouder dan het klooster zelf.

Although the site of the monastery of Saint Catherine and the Sinai are exceptionally beautiful, the services provided by Deluxe Travel offer very disappointing value for money. The agency's name is misleading, as this trip falls far short of luxury standards. The price of 240 euros per person for two days is particularly high for Egypt and should guarantee impeccable service, which was not the case. The drivers spoke no English, and a policeman accompanied us for the two days without our being informed in advance. Entrance to St Catherine's Park only costs 5 dollars and food prices in Egypt are still very low, allowing us to eat well for 3 to 4 euros per person. It is therefore legitimate to wonder where the travellers' money is going, giving the impression that the agency is exploiting the tourists. What's more, bottles of mineral water were only provided for the first day, and meals during the 6-8 hour journeys were not included. Given the price we were charged, it would have been justified to include tips for the drivers. Information on the tour programme was also inadequate, and none of the drivers spoke English. The dinner on the first evening, although correct, did not reflect a luxury service commensurate with the price paid, and drinks were not included. In addition, the price of drinks at the hotel was exorbitant for the price we paid. Voyage de 2 jours au monastère de sainte Catherine. Le nom de l'agence est trompeur, car ce voyage est loin de répondre aux standards du luxe. Le tarif de 240 euros par personne pour deux jours est particulièrement élevé pour l'Égypte et devrait garantir un service irréprochable, ce qui n’a pas été le cas. Les chauffeurs ne parlaient pas anglais, et un policier nous a accompagnés durant les deux jours sans que nous en ayons été informés à l'avance. L'entrée au parc de Sainte-Catherine coûte seulement 5 dollars et les prix de la nourriture en Égypte restent très bas, permettant de bien manger pour 3 à 4 euros par personne. Il est donc légitime de se demander où passe l'argent des voyageurs, donnant l'impression que l'agence exploite les touristes. De plus, des bouteilles d'eau minérale ne nous ont été fournies que pour la première journée, et les repas pendant les trajets de 6 à 8 heures n'étaient pas inclus. Étant donné le tarif demandé, l'inclusion des pourboires pour les chauffeurs aurait été justifiée. L'information sur le programme de visite était également insuffisante, et aucun des chauffeurs ne parlait anglais. Le dîner du premier soir, bien que correct, ne reflétait pas un service de luxe en rapport avec le prix payé, et les boissons n’étaient pas incluses. De plus, le prix des boissons à l'hôtel était exorbitant pour le niveau de vie en Égypte, soulignant encore une volonté d'exploiter financièrement les touristes. Enfin, après la randonnée sur le mont Moïse et la visite du monastère, nous étions debout depuis 0h30 et avons rejoint l'hôtel à 9h15. Les chauffeurs ont tenté de nous presser pour repartir au Caire sans nous laisser le temps de prendre un petit-déjeuner ou de nous rafraîchir. Il a fallu insister fermement pour pouvoir repartir à midi. L'agence devrait réduire de moitié son tarif pour cette excursion et a minima augmenter la qualité de sa prestation !

Your trip has been seamless without any issues you have been assigned two drivers for your safety with all associated costs to accompany you for the long drive. Police permissions have been issued accordingly and you were assigned a special police security guard from local police to make your trip perfect without any stops at check points. All checkpoints on the way have been informed you are the guests of Deluxe Travel otherwise you could have been returned back to Cairo or waited for hours for further investigations which is the case of tourists who take local buses. If you were looking for budget tours you could have considered taking a local bus. Additionally your accommodation was in the best hotel in the area of Saint Catherine. We find nothing against us in your review as you received all services as Clearly indicated in the itinerary which you read and booked accordingly. After booking you revised all items in the itinerary with our tour operater and if you had any concerns or you believed that services listed are not adequate, or price is high you could have canceled before starting your trip which infact you did not. You took all meals as listed in the itinerary. Extras you have to pay for. Your booking is without a tour guide, drivers are required to speak basic English and follow instructions and not to build conversations with clients. Before starting your trip you were complaining to have extra meals not listed and after finishing your trip you asked to take a refund with your fellow travelers or else you will write 6 bad reviews screen shots of conversation are available for your reference. If you found our services expensive and the hotels we choose are beyond your affordability you could have considered cheaper options available that suits your requirements. Your trip was bespoke with all safety measures considered and coordination with authorities have been undertaken to give you VIP service we are known for.
Very nice experience, however you should know that you need very good walking shoes. Warm clothes and snacks. It's a difficult mountain to climb...you have to be in good shape. The descent is also difficult... But the effort is rewarded by the beauty of this natural spectacle...
