Je hoort over hekserij, misdaden en bovennatuurlijke krachten die hun stempel hebben gedrukt op de geschiedenis van Oslo. We beginnen onze tour bij de ingang van het stadhuis van Oslo, waar we zullen horen over de overtuigingen van de Vikingen. Vanaf hier dalen we af in de schaduw om verhalen te ontdekken over een mysterieus ondergronds koninkrijk waarvan wordt aangenomen dat het werd bewoond door trollen en andere mythische wezens. We did this tour on a chilly, rainy evening but our guide—Anastasia—was so good that we quickly forgot the weather. She took us through Norse mythology and a lot of Oslo and Norwegian history. Amazingly deep knowledge and a terrific story teller; our group was riveted the whole time. She was especially adept at weaving snippets from present day Norwegian culture into the history she shared. Our 2+ hours took us through some of the key sites in Oslo’s long history, but was vastly more interesting than a standard city walking tour. We would highly recommend for people of all ages, including kids interested in trolls and superheroes.
The disappointment in this tour was the lack of myths and legends. It was a basic history walking tour and it was very bland. Our tour guide seemed like a lovely person but she was not very good at her job. This was nothing like the reviews or description
Thank you for the feedback. I am sorry the tour felt flat and did not include the myths and legends you were hoping for. That is exactly what our guide network should be delivering, and I will be raising it directly. I will say this does stand apart from the experience most of our guests report, which is why I want to look into it personally rather than let it go.
It was an interesting review of Oslo history and some of the old beliefs. It helped link in with some of the paintings we had seen previously.
This was worth ever second! It was a great way to spend the evening and our guide was super knowledgeable! She gave so much history as well as mythology background! It renewned my love of norse mythology and made me want to revisit Oslo!

Because it managed to feel like far more than just a walking tour. Blending history, folklore, hidden corners of the city and storytelling in a way that made Oslo feel alive rather than just “explained.” The guide’s passion was infectious, the pace relaxed, and there was something genuinely memorable about hearing tales of Vikings, trolls, ghosts and old Norwegian legends while actually standing in the places connected to them.

Fantastic time and our guide was very knowledgeable. Whether it was trolls and Odin or WWII or robbers, great stories were told. Definitely recommend.
Ancient city tour + Nordic mythology + psychic stories, interspersed with royal gossip. The tour guide said Norwegians grew up frightened by stories of "mountains eating children" and "that's how you start loving dark stories". Each story begins with the phrase, “On a bad day, just like today ...” and is very engrossing, with some special tips for dealing with mountain demons. Norwegians are really proud of their monsters, Troll the Mountain Demon, the Forest Elves who confuse passersby, Kraken the Sea Monster.. Don't take a stroll in the rain anyway. Oslo's favorite trip, truly recommended.
Our hostess was excellent. Very funny and enthusiastic, you can tell she enjoys her job and that makes it fun for everyone. She was extremely knowledgeable on the City and Countries history. The history becomes alive, and you feel that you are part of it. Would recommend to any visitors to Oslo.
