Mykonos-stad en Halve dag tour op het eiland

Beginnend vanuit de stad Mykonos door door de kleine en smalle straatjes te lopen, krijgt u de gelegenheid om een aantal mooie foto's te maken voordat het te druk wordt. Ondertussen geeft uw lokale gids u informatie over de 'oude stad', de 'kleine haven' en de eilandkerken. Natuurlijk mogen de beroemde 'Windmills' niet ontbreken en vinden we Petros de Pelikaan, de mascotte van het eiland. Na het wandelen is het tijd om de rest van het eiland te verkennen met een voertuig en enkele van de beroemdste bezienswaardigheden en stranden te bezoeken. Tijd om het tweede hoofddorp van Mykonos 'Ano Mera' te verkennen, niet ver van de stad, hier heb je genoeg vrije tijd om rond te slenteren en het monnikenklooster van 'Panagia Tourliani' te bezoeken De volgende stop is 'Kalafatis Beach', tijd om te ontspannen en een koffiepauze te houden. Voordat we teruggaan naar de stad, passeren we het beroemde strand van 'Ornos' en uiteindelijk bezoeken we het 'Agios Ioannis Beach'.

De beroemde windmolens van Mykonos (ook wel Kato-molen genoemd) zijn het iconische symbool van het eiland en zijn vanaf elk punt van de stad Mykonos te zien.
Het tweede hoofddorp van het eiland, dat bijna in het hart van Mykonos ligt.
Dit prachtige klooster is vernoemd naar de koepel van de kerk (tourlos in het Grieks) en de gezegende icoon van de maagd Maria. Het belangrijkste festival van Mykonos vindt hier plaats op 15 augustus.
Kalafatis is een prachtig strand gelegen aan de gladste kust van het eiland.
Een van de meest trendy en populairste stranden van Mykonos.
Dit strand, genoemd naar de kapel die erboven staat, kijkt uit op het eiland Delos.

Was not worth the price for what we saw. The monastery was good but had to pay extra to get inside. The only other stop was at a beach for 10 minutes. When we got to town If you are stayiny there you can see the windmills and shops by yourself.
Our guide provided wonderful insights to the the islands history and modern day culture. We saw a variety of island areas. There was much more walking required than indicated in the description

We ate at bu Sulas in Mykonos! Amazing food the service was so good, the staff was kind and the food wasn’t so pricy. I will go again!

The company contacted us the afternoon before the tour, advising us that it MAY be cancelled due to low participation. We replied in the evening asking them to please let us know either way as we wanted to make other arrangements if the tour was not going ahead. They did not respond. We messaged them a second time in the morning and again no response. As we received no message advising that the tour was officially cancelled, we arrived at the agreed meeting point just before 9 am. At 9am we called them twice and they did not answer even though they were online all the time. At 9:04am they then wrote "Good morning unfortunately the tour will not operate today. We are sorry" When we expressed our disappointment, they wrote "We had informed you since yesterday at 4:00 pm !" The company knows how much tourists pay to visit Mykonos and that their time/schedule is usually very limited so they should be much quicker and clear in their communication. They said they would issue us a refund but it has now been three days and no refund has been received. We have messaged them asking for an update in this regard and, unsurprisingly, they have not responded. Please use GetYourGuide, the difference in communication and customer service is significant.
Half way through the walking tour of Mykonos Town we became separated from the group as our guide was moving quite fast through the maze of Mykonos streets. We could not find our group, So we continued to the windmills and the meeting point by ourselves. No tour guide in sight. Tour guide did not wait to check that everyone was still following her which resulted in us finding our own way. Very disappointing!
We had a lovely tour of Mykonos, our guide, called Andrea was very good.She gave us a very good trip of the Island, explaining all the landmarks, gave us plenty of time to take pictures and herself took a lot of our pictures.She made sure to bring us back to the meeting point and made sure we got into our transport and left only after that.Mykonos is a beautiful place to visit in May, the weather is just perfect and it's not too crowded at this time
Going up the gondola, the food, all the hills to get anywhere. Just beautiful. The cute donkeys. Service was excellent.
The tour guide was very informative and friendly. It was worth it . The bad part is they don't pick you up at your hotel and this tour made us walk back to the pickup point.
