Verken verschillende hoogtepunten van de oude Griekse geschiedenis en cultuur in de Peloponnesos tijdens een dagtour vanuit Athene. Bezoek het kanaal van Korinthe, Mycene, het oude theater van Epidaurus en de pittoreske stad Nafplion.

Stap in onze moderne bus met airconditioning vanaf 4 centrale ontmoetingspunten en reis 1 uur naar het gebied van de Peloponnesos. Op weg naar Mycene, zie je het beroemde Kanaal van Korinthe en maak je een korte stop om dit technische wonder te bewonderen dat de Egeïsche en Ionische zee met elkaar verbindt. Vanuit het centrum van Athene hebben we 60 minuten nodig om het kanaal van Korinthe te bereiken
Ga verder richting Mycene, een van de belangrijkste steden van het oude Griekenland. Bezoek de Myceense Akropolis, het graf van Agamemnon en de ruïnes van de Cyclopische muren die deze machtige stad beschermden. Ga verder naar het oude theater van Epidaurus, een theater uit de 4e eeuw dat een van de best bewaarde klassieke Griekse bouwwerken is die er bestaan. Het staat bekend om zijn geweldige akoestiek; een munt die in het midden van het theater valt, is te horen vanaf de hoogste stoel. Het theater biedt plaats aan 14.000 mensen en de ingang wordt geflankeerd door gerestaureerde Corinthische pilasters. Het wordt nu gebruikt voor uitvoeringen van Oudgrieks drama tijdens het jaarlijkse Helleense Festival. entree november t/m maart 12 euro entree april t/m oktober 6 euro
Maak ten slotte een stop in de pittoreske stad Nafplion, de eerste hoofdstad van Griekenland na de onafhankelijkheid en een belangrijke haven sinds de bronstijd. De positie was zo strategisch dat de stad 3 forten heeft: het enorme fort van Palamidi, het kleinere Akronafplia en het waterkasteel Bourtzi op een eilandje ten westen van de oude stad. Slenter door de aantrekkelijke smalle straatjes en bewonder de elegante Venetiaanse huizen, neoklassieke herenhuizen en cafés aan de kade. Maak van de gelegenheid gebruik om te gaan winkelen, te eten in een traditioneel restaurant, te relaxen in de cafés in de pittoreske haven, of 's zomers een duik te nemen in het kristalheldere water van het strand van Arvanitia. Daarna gaan we terug naar Athene in een rit van 2 uur door het platteland

The whole trip was very pleasant and professional. Ar voice options are abundant. This itinerary is perfect for friends who love archaeology, and with these monuments scattered, the rhythm of this day trip fits perfectly
I have recently completed this extraordinary itinerary and I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Greece. The first stop is the Corinth Canal. Seeing this impressive engineering feat up close is breathtaking. A quick but memorable photo stop. Entering through the famous Lion Gate of Mycenae gives you chills. We walked among the ruins of the Agamemnonian civilization, visited the majestic Tomb of Agamemnon (Treasury of Atreus) and the museum. Third stop Nafplio, an elegant and charming city with paved alleys, Venetian architecture and flowered balconies. The fortress of Bourtzi and Palamidi offer a panoramic view. Last stop Epidaurus with its theater with exceptional acoustics. A special thanks to the guide Alexandra, very talented, very professional and nice, who made the tour even more unique.
It’s a long trip but well worth it. Amazing going to Mycenae knowing it was built in 5 BC. Theatre was amazing and the sound was crystal clear. Wish we had more time but this was an to the area and would consider going back but to stay a few nights to take in the experience. The Corinth Canal was so cool to sea two seas on opposite ends. The only thing that I would suggest is make sure you check up on the pick up points and understand there are a number of buses picking up passengers for various tours.
I am very late leaving this review on TripAdvisor but was quick to leave one on Google. The trip, the transportation, and the guide were top notch. I feel like this is a must do activity when you visit Athens. The sites are spectacular, no photos or videos can properly capture the feelings of walking these ancient locations.
A very nice family day. With beautiful discoveries about Greece. We appreciated The appetizers are an additional disappointment I recommend+++
A tour where the travel is as good as the destination: Ruins Mycenas is breathtaking, Napfilus is charming and Epidarus is the temple of Asclepio is wonderful. SUPER I RECOMMEND and already buy the tickets to enter the spaces, otherwise don't even make the trip. Tickets are very expensive! But that's it, either you come in and know the places or you don't.
We enjoyed Nafplio, found Epidauro very interesting.
It was informative and interesting. I think the guide was Mikhaila and she managed the trip well. The organization was very nice and helpful since I missed the bus, they together with viator support arranged for me to get on another bus to reconnect with the trip so thank you.
A trip that combines two historical sites, with Epidauro being the richest, along with a charming coastal city.
I mainly took this trip to see Napflio because there is no easy way to get there on your own. This trip takes you to many different archeological sites in addition to Napflio.I wasn't impressed with these sites, there is not much to see other then stone remains. I wish we spent more time in Napflio but I think it all comes to money because Napflio is free to explore but two sites cost 20 euro each per person which i believe is expensive considering there is nothing much to see. It is long day with some walking under sun on uneven rocks so make sure you are able to do that. Some information provided on the bus about places but not much. Smartphones wirh the App about places provided and that helps somewhat. Overall I was satisfied because I was able to visit Napfio but if you can get there on your own, that would be the best option.
