A REALLY EDUCATIONAL TOUR AND ABOUT RUINS INFORMATIVE GUIDE, re Vietnam war you would think you WERE BEHIND THE IRON CURTAIN {AS I WAS IN THE 1970S} 70 YEARS OUT OF DATE, LAUGHTABLE SPIEL . Vietnam is a wonderful country to visit and its people the most friendly in Asia . Re the war he conviently forgot to mention that the North invaded the SOUTH , then the US got involved. Poor US stragedy to bomb the VC H Q there, ATTROTICIES ON BOTH SIDES , guide sounded like he was just released from 8 years of RE EDUCATION by the NORTH .
Andy very kindly tailored this trip into our full-day outing. The tour guide gave us very clear and detailed intro of history and background of this beautiful place and sanctuary.
We booked a private tour to My Son Sanctuary in June 2018 with Andy and our guide was Uncle Chinh, who was really great with my two young kids (5 and 3). Obviously the kids loved him, especially when at the end of the tour he bought them each a bottle of orange juice. :D But the highlight was of course the tour itself. We were picked up at our requested time and during the one-hour journey from Hoi An Uncle Chinh told us a lot about the history of Quang Nam province. During the tour he was very knowledgeable and explained to us in details. He also knew when to avoid the crowd so we had some private moments at the sanctuary. We went in the morning at around 8:30am and came back just in time for lunch. We loved every second of it. :) Thank you Andy and Uncle Chinh for arranging this tour for us.
Me, our guide Phi and our driver are on a half-day private tour of the MYSON ruins (US$120). We arrived at MYSON ruins in about 1 hour from Da Nang. We head to the ruins in an electric car that can seat about 10 people. Get off the bus and walk for about 10 minutes to a hut where you can watch Sham dance (I give demonstrations three times a day. It's a must-see. It's about 15 minutes at a time.) The ruins are separated by alphabet, and the B, C and D districts are a must-see. You can see the figures and sacrificial pedestals that Hinduism is believed to have originated from. I feel like it is very mysterious and something to wash my heart. Some of them are still under restoration, but please take your time and look at the structures and statues. This is a recommended spot. I applied for the Panda Bus Tour, but he was a good guide who was good at Japanese. Also, when I visit Da Nang, I ask Phi again. I'm a recommended guide.
