We hebben een passie om de minder bekende historische schatten van deze unieke stad te voet te ontdekken. Onze tour begint met de imposante Galata-toren die uitkijkt op de schoonheden van de Bosporus en de oude stad. We nemen je mee van de belangrijkste toeristische route naar het multiculturele Fener, Balat en Ayvansaray. Dit zijn de oude wijken van Istanbul waar Constantinopel officieel eindigt, wat betekent dat we de overgebleven stadsmuren van Byzantijnen bewonderen en historische kerken, moskeeën, synagogen, traditionele huizen en zelfs de overblijfselen van een paleis ontdekken. Sluit onze tour af met een ontspannende veerboottocht langs de Gouden Hoorn.

We zullen een geweldig panorama van Istanbul zien vanaf de top van deze toren. Een van de meest opvallende bezienswaardigheden van de stad, dit grote fort dat dateert uit 1348, werd gebouwd door Genuese Italianen.

In het Ottomaanse tijdperk was Beyoğlu (toen bekend als Pera) de Europese wijk van Istanboel. De thuisbasis van ambassades en handelscentra, evenals mooie 19e-eeuwse appartementenhuizen in Parijse stijl.
Basculebrug die de Gouden Hoorn overspant, biedt zowel een echte als symbolische verbinding tussen twee belangrijke delen van Istanbul.

Kleurrijke straten van Fener en Balat wachten op u. Je zou de gecombineerde wijken Ayvansaray, Balat en Fener kunnen omschrijven als een miniatuurkroniek van de Byzantijnse, Ottomaanse en moderne tijd. Dit is een merkwaardige, neogotische wit geschilderde kerk en interessant gemaakt van gietijzeren secties. Gebouwd of zou moeten zeggen "gegoten" in Wenen in 1896 en helemaal naar Istanbul vervoerd.

De muren van Constantinopel waren de grootste vestingwerken van de middeleeuwen. Met verschillende torens en poorten staan grote delen vandaag nog min of meer intact.
De historische stad Istanbul, de enige stad ter wereld op twee continenten, was de hoofdstad van drie grote rijken; Romeinse, Byzantijnse en het Ottomaanse Rijk.
Karaköy is een van de oudste en meest historische wijken van de stad en is tegenwoordig een belangrijk commercieel centrum en vervoersknooppunt.

Kim was exceptional, super friendly, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend to anyone who want too see and experience some out of the beaten path. It was worth it. Kim even put a special touch and stopped to get tea and baklava. Yummy. Very special trip.
The tour was fantastic—our guide Erol was extremely knowledgeable about historic facts and dates, explaining how much the city has changed while taking us to great spots for photos. Travelling by tram and ferry was smooth because he had everything perfectly organised, and we even stopped to enjoy some delicious sweets along the way. Even though it was low season and we were the only ones on the tour, he never rushed; he took his time, explained everything in detail, and made the whole experience feel personal and memorable. The tour was fantastic, especially thanks to our guide Ergil, who was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. We began at the Galata Tower, enjoying a beautiful panoramic view of Istanbul. Then we explored the historic neighborhoods of Balat and Fener, full of colorful streets and rich multicultural history. A very pleasant walk combining great views, culture, and authentic local atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Loved the Galata Tower and its fascinating history. Erol gave us a great deal of interesting information about the entire area including its history and its architecture. We also stopped for some delicious sweets. Erol is a great guide. He spoke so passionately and knowledgeably about the area and answered all our questions very thoroughly. Some of the streets were rather steep, which made walking a little difficult at times but Erol was very thoughtful and helpful. Thank you for an interesting tour.
