De tour begint met het verkennen van de Hidden Gem van Tbilisi, bekend als de Chronicles of Georgia. het monument is gemaakt van steen en staat bovenop een reeks massieve trappen, The Chronicles of Georgia vertelt over de interessante geschiedenis van Georgië vanaf de vroege tijden
Laat Tbilisi achter je terwijl je naar de oude hoofdstad van Mtskheta gaat. Bekend als het religieuze centrum van Georgië, verken je UNESCO-werelderfgoed - het 6e-eeuwse Jvari-klooster met een van de meest opwindende uitzichten, vanwaar je de samenvloeiing van twee rivieren kunt zien.
Mtscheta is de geboorteplaats en een van de meest levendige centra van het christendom in Georgië, met het belangrijkste religieuze gebouw, de svetitskhoveli-kathedraal uit de 11e eeuw, de stad zelf is klein en vereist slechts een uur om te verkennen. terwijl je door de geplaveide straten loopt, ontdek je kleine openluchtwinkels, die wijn, keramiek, snoep en souvenirs verkopen.
Dit indrukwekkend ontworpen museum is gewijd aan het leven van Joseph Stalin, de leider van de Sovjet-Unie die werd geboren in Gori. Het huis van hout en modder van de familie Dzhugashvili, waar Stalin de eerste vier jaar van zijn leven woonde, staat overdekt buiten het museumgebouw
Uplistsikhe was het centrum van een grote regio, die op grote schaal betrokken was bij de internationale handel en het economische leven. Het zou in de oudheid meer dan 770 grotten hebben gehad, maar nu zijn er slechts 150 bewaard gebleven. Een van de belangrijkste plaatsen om te bezoeken zijn het amfitheater, de zaal van koningin Tamar, de gevangenissen, de wijnpersen, de apotheek en de basiliek met drie schepen.

The day trip was very well-organised and I'd recommend it for those who are looking for a daytrip outside Tbilisi to explore Georgia's cultural heritage. Alex, our guide and driver, did a great job of explaining the history behind each site and making the day run smoothly.
A great day out to the Jvari monastery, Mtskheta, Gori and the Uplistsikhe cave city with Giorgi. He was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide and a good driver. We would recommend this tour.

Giga is a great guide who provided insight into the history, culture and politics of Georgia. He knows every corner of Uplistsikhe and made the trip there interesting and memorable. He's friendly, polite and personable.
A fantastic day from start to finish! We began with the incredible cave city of Uplistsikhe — a truly unique archaeological site — then continued to Gori, the birthplace of Stalin, and ended in the beautiful and historic city of Mtskheta. Our guide was excellent: friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. He provided clear and engaging explanations at every stop, adding depth and context to what we saw. He also drove safely and made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Georgia’s history and culture with a guide who is both passionate and well-informed. A tour not to be missed!
It was a total 5 over 5! The places were amazing We had a tour guide, Giorgi, he was polite, patient, cultivated and always going an extra mile for us. We visited beautiful places, always with wonderful explanations about the history of each one. The communication with Giga, the person in charge, was easy and very fast responding. We would go for them next time in Georgia for sure. Super thanks!

We had the most amazing day with our guide Akaki - besides the history which anyone can learn - he was passionate about Georgia and shared this passion with us - gave us insight into the Georgian way of life not only the history :) our day was not just a tour but a wonderful Georgian experience which we cannot wait to share with our friends & family back home :)
