Mount Pilatus en Mount Rigi - als je maar één dag in Luzern hebt en niet kunt beslissen welke berg je wilt beklimmen, waarom kies je ze dan niet allebei? Met onze privétour "Two Peaks in One Day" kunt u het beste van beide bergen op één dag ervaren. Begin met Mt Rigi en zijn adembenemende 360 graden uitzicht op de omliggende Alpen; bezoek een ambachtelijke alpenkaasmaker en loop over een panoramische bergkamroute met uitzicht over 3 meren. Ontspan met een picknicklunch tijdens een mooie boottocht voordat u per gondel en de 'Dragon Ride'-kabelbaan naar de top van de Pilatus klimt. Keer terug naar het niveau van het meer tijdens de steilste tandradtrein ter wereld en vervolgens een snelle en gemakkelijke treinreis terug naar Luzern. Houd er rekening mee dat er in de winter een wijziging in de cruiseroute kan optreden als gevolg van weersomstandigheden. In dergelijke gevallen kan de tour worden vervangen door een even betoverende treinreis, zodat u nog steeds de charme van de stad ervaart. We did the 10 day rail tour. It was excellent. We saw major attractions and the exceptional Bernini Express and Glacier Express. The guides provided for three days were just great.

What an unbelievable experience we had in Lucerne! The scenery was breathtaking and we were so thankful to our guide, Walter Di Liberto, who is a local and is very knowledgeable about the area. We are especially thankful to him for taking extra time on our meet & greet day to start our tour. He had looked ahead at the next day’s inclement weather forecast and asked if we might prefer to do half of our tour that day and save the rest for the morning of the scheduled day. We are so glad we did! He also went out of his way to make us feel welcomed with suggestions of things to do with our time alone.

Alexandra was a delightful guide. She showed us the different modes of transportation including the Cogwheel trains. She took us up Mt Rigi. There we visited a genuine cheese factory and had an artisanal lunch. We hiked the mountain and kissed the cows. We also experienced the top of Mt Pilatus and a boat ride across Lake Lucerne. Alexandra was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. She was very patient with me climbing up and down mountains since I had limited energy. I highly recommend her for any future tours to anyone.

Leo was the perfect guide. We wanted something different, and this activity delivered. The peaks on Mt. Riigi and Mt. Pilatus are intended for scenic views. We had none, but the transport and walking made for a fun adventure anyway. There was snow, and clouds, and icicles, and the great accompaniment of Leo. We learned a lot about our surroundings, and enjoyed a very fun day of exploration, just minus the views. That's the beauty of an adventure. You never know what it will bring.

Madeleine did a great job leading our hike and tour for our small group of 5. The hike was beautiful and appropriately strenuous for people who exercise fairly regularly. We stopped for a nice lunch and rode the gondola up to Mt Pilatus. Unfortunately the cog wheel train was out of order, so we had to take the gondola all the way to the bottom and a bus back to town.

Our guide Ezra was a joy to be with. It is obvious that he thoroughly enjoys what he does and is passionate about the beauty of Switzerland. He is very knowledgeable but fun! My sister & I are in our late 60’s early 70’s so most likely slower than younger folks. Ezra was patient and gave us plenty of breaks. And the views!! Fantastic! We highly recommend this trip and others Echo offers. You will not be disappointed!

This rail journey trip through Switzerland is one of the most enjoyable travel experience that my wife and I have had. It stands out among dozens of trips that we have had globally. The husband and wife owners Rene and Suzanne were also our guides and Rene being a Swiss born has an incomparable knowledge of the country. The food, accommodations, scenery and attention to the details and needs of all group members was very satisfactory. Our tour was during second and third weeks of August. We saw lots of wild flowers, beautiful countryside and magnificent snow capped mountains both on foot as well as in the comfort of first class ultra modern electric trains.
