Want an authentic immersion in the heart of Berber culture? Live a unique experience with Brahim, a passionate person who loves to share his culinary know-how and traditions. Start your adventure at the local market, selecting the fresh vegetables and colorful spices that will perfume your dish. Then, let Brahim guide you in preparing a delicious Berber tagine, in a quiet, peaceful and charming place. Between traditional gestures, shared laughter and captivating flavors, this experience is much more than just a cooking class — it’s a real sensory and human journey into the heart of Morocco. Thank you Brahim!
We spent the most wonderful late afternoon and early evening in the company of Brahim who taught us how to cook, authentic Moroccan Tagine. Firstly, we went to the local Souk which was filled with beautiful fresh local ingredients. Brahim seems to know everyone, and everybody seemed very pleased and happy to see him. After buying all of the necessary ingredients and stopping off at the local butcher, we proceeded to Brahim's home, which is very nearby. He then showed us, by example, the way to prepare this beautiful authentic local dish. Whilst waiting for the food to cook, he also demonstrated the right way to prepare mint tea and also, very importantly, the authentic and rather theatrical way of pouring it. We then sat down with Brahim's family and ate some locally, prepared, sweet treats with tea whilst waiting for the Tagine. We had the great pleasure of being introduced to his wife, mother, and one of his sisters. We then spent a very fun hour, eating drinking tea and chatting with the family. The food was delicious, and the company was excellent. It was a real treat, and the next time we return to Morocco. We shall have no hesitation in booking one of Brahim's walking or cycling tours in Paradise Valley. Thank you so much for a very enjoyable experience.
