De straten van Montmartre zijn ronduit iconisch. Met zowel grote monumenten als rustigere steegjes is Montmartre de perfecte mix van vredige mijmeringen en bruisende kunstenaarswijken! Onze tour neemt je mee door de charmante straten van het heuveldorp van Parijs en een kant van de stad die lijkt op een ansichtkaart of een vergeten film. Veel kunstenaars vonden inspiratie in Montmartre en zijn bohemiensfeer tijdens de Gouden Eeuw van Parijs. De tour begint direct in het hart van Montmartre, terwijl je door de schilderachtige kronkelende straatjes loopt. We nemen je mee langs de rue des Abreuvoirs, de mooiste straat van Parijs, we komen meer te weten over de oorsprong van Montmartre en we zien la Maison Rose, een iconisch café dat bekendstaat om zijn pittoreske roze gevel en artistieke geschiedenis. We zullen ook enkele van de beroemdere monumenten zien, zoals Place du Tertre met zijn kunstenaars, Clos Montmartre Vineyard en natuurlijk de Sacré Coeur Basilica met uitzicht op de stad!

Neem even de tijd om een eerbetoon te brengen aan een Frans icoon bij het Dalida-beeld, een sierlijk bronzen beeld ter ere van de geliefde zangeres en actrice die een legende werd in de wereld van de Franse muziek.
La Maison Rose, genesteld op de hoek van een charmante geplaveide straat, is een van de meest iconische bezienswaardigheden van Montmartre. Dit pastelroze café, met zijn luiken en klimop, is al meer dan een eeuw een geliefd onderwerp voor kunstenaars en fotografen.
Clos Montmartre is een van de best bewaarde geheimen van Parijs: een werkende wijngaard midden in het hart van de stad!
Een waar juweeltje in het hart van Montmartre! Dit historische cabaret dateert uit de 19e eeuw en is een ontmoetingsplek geweest voor talloze kunstenaars, schrijvers en muzikanten, waaronder Picasso, Modigliani en Apollinaire. Met zijn rustieke charme en levendige bohemian spirit is het Lapin Agile al generaties lang een bron van inspiratie en creativiteit.
U bereikt de adembenemende Sacré-Cœur-basiliek, die een panoramisch uitzicht over Parijs biedt
Dompel uzelf onder in de levendige sfeer van Place du Tertre, waar lokale kunstenaars de ziel van de wijk vastleggen.
Ontdek een stukje Parijse geschiedenis bij de iconische Moulin de la Galette, een van de laatste overgebleven windmolens in Montmartre. Dit historische monument dateert uit de 17e eeuw en was ooit onderdeel van een drukke meelfabriek. Later, in de 19e eeuw, werd het omgevormd tot een populaire danszaal, waar Parijzenaars kwamen om te genieten van muziek, dans en goed gezelschap. Vereeuwigd in schilderijen van kunstenaars als Renoir, van Gogh en Toulouse-Lautrec.
Stap binnen in de bakermat van de moderne kunst bij Le Bateau-Lavoir, een historisch gebouw dat ooit het bruisende hart was van de artistieke gemeenschap van Montmartre.
Ervaar de romantiek van de Muur van de Liefde, waar “Ik hou van jou” in honderden talen staat geschreven.
Dit charmante café is een geliefde bezienswaardigheid in Parijs geworden, grotendeels dankzij de hoofdrol in de film Amélie uit 2001. Als werkplek van de grillige hoofdpersoon uit de film is deze plek direct herkenbaar voor fans van de film.
Je eindigt voor de iconische Moulin Rouge, bij de historische ingang van Parijs.

Walking but a little slower and more intimate than the day before when I did a walking tour of a day in Paris. Nafi was a great guide, there were fewer of us in the group.
We loved Montmarte. And our guide Naffiseh was wonderful. She was so knowledgeable & helpful with recommendations. Highly recommended doing the small group. We were so lucky ended up just being my husband & I.

Lola’s knowledge and energy is just fantastic. A week earlier I did a self-guided tour of the neighbourhood and missed a lot of the special spots and history that Lola pointed out during the tour. This was a great way to get to know the neighbourhood quickly and meet other people too.
Lola and Cara were so knowledgeable and friendly! We learned some interesting history and facts about Montmartre and visited sights we likely would have missed otherwise. This tour is a great way to explore the neighborhood while avoiding (most) of the crowds. The small group format is also very nice and makes it possible to interact, ask questions and move through the streets easily. Bonus: the restaurant recommendations were some of the best food we had in Paris. Highly recommended, especially if you are on a tight timeline but want to see this incredible neighborhood!
Bonjour! This was my third tour booked with BBT, and a fourth one is upcoming. The walking tour of Montmartre was excellent. The chosen route is a wonderful overview of the area, its history, people, places, events, art, and views. The visual aids of vintage postcards and old photographs was a thoughtful addition to the tour. I learned so much. Lola and Clara, our two friendly and enthusiastic guides, informed and engaged us the entire time. This area of Paris is so fascinating and unique. I highly recommend taking this tour, as it will expand your knowledge and appreciation of Paris. Thank you for another top notch tour! Keep up the great work!
Great walking tour of a unique area of Paris. Most visitors enter the area from the front door, uphill, with all of the crowds. This tour you enter the Sacred-Coeur Basilica from the back, the streets, vineyard, unique homes, Maison Rose are all setting you up for a great tour. It was a beautiful fall day and the leaves and sky were perfect. Lola - our tour guide - did a great job explaining/describing the key sights, and the uniqueness of Montmartre. Lola brought us to the back of the basilica where the streets were nearly absence of people, she was able to describe the story of the site without the noise of the crowds. The views of the basilica from the back - IMO - are better than the front. Then she "warned" us about the crowd and we walked to the front and it was packed. She explained the view - Opera, ND, Pompidou, etc. and then we headed down the hill...What a great agenda for a tour. Highly recommend it!
This tour of Montmartre was such an exquisite window into a neighborhood of Paris perched above the regular hustle and bustle. It was a beautiful way to begin our time in Paris and our tour guide, Lola, was exceptional! She brought the neighborhood to even greater life with detailed stories of history that were rich with color, passion and sometimes- even celebration.
