In plaats van een traditionele “kunsttour” verkennen we Montmartre via de verhalen, mensen en ideeën die het hebben gevormd — met kunst en geschiedenis als een ingang, niet als een lezing. Terwijl we van de Église Saint-Jean naar de Sacré-Cœur lopen, bezoeken we iconische plekken zoals de Muur van de Liefde, Le Bateau-Lavoir en de Moulin de la Galette, terwijl we ontdekken hoe bewegingen als impressionisme en moderne kunst uit deze unieke wijk op een heuveltop zijn gegroeid. Je hebt geen achtergrond in kunst of geschiedenis nodig — alleen nieuwsgierigheid. Gebouwd tussen 1894 en 1904, de Eglise Saint Jean de Montmartre is een bewijs van de Art Nouveau bouwstijl, en een echte kerk van de industriële revolutie.

Au Clos de Montmartre dateert uit 1933 en maakt enkele van de beroemdste wijnen van de hele stad.

Davis made our Montmartre visit an amazing experience, full of new details despite been here a couple of times. He adapted the visit for my oldest daughter who loves art. Very dynamic and we learned a lot. I will greatly recommended.
David is a great guide! Thanks to her extensive experience, particularly her knowledge of history, social sciences, and art, it was a fantastic trip. If you want to explore the region with a purely artistic and intellectual perspective, I highly recommend this tour. Also, the way he explained things to my daughter and her age was amazing, thank you again. I wish we could explore all of Paris with David.
Our tour guide was fun and interesting, very personable and spoke excellent English. He was extremely knowledgeable of the history of Montmartre as well as French history in general. He gave a lot of historical background of the architecture and colorful history of the artists that once lived here. He began the tour by asking us what are particular interests were so he could cater to our curiosities. Cost was more than reasonable!
