Puerto Caldera ligt op 1 uur 10min rijden van Jaco waar het Monkey bos is gelegen en een van de belangrijkste havens aan de Pacifische kust van Costa Rica, gelegen in de provincie Puntarenas. Het speelt een cruciale rol in de maritieme handel en het toerisme van het land. Costa Rica’s grootste vrachthaven aan de Pacifische kant, waar containers, brandstof en bulklading worden verwerkt en een frequente stop voor cruiseschepen, die toeristen verwelkomen die vaak nabijgelegen attracties verkennen.
We rijden terug naar Playa Blanca, een prachtig, rustig strand aan de kust van de centrale Stille Oceaan van Costa Rica, bekend om zijn kalme wateren en weelderige omgeving. Het is een perfecte plek voor een rustige stranddag of een korte vakantie van Jaco. Ideaal om te zwemmen, paddleboarden en kajakken, dankzij de zachte golven. In het omliggende bos kunt u luiaards, scharlaken ara's en leguanen spotten.
Tárcoles staat bekend om zijn traditionele vissersgemeenschap, waar lokale vissers kleine boten en duurzame methoden gebruiken die generaties lang zijn doorgegeven. U kunt een bezoek brengen aan de visserijcoöperatie Tárcoles (CoopeTárcoles R.L.), die verantwoorde vispraktijken promoot en verse, lokaal gevangen vis verkoopt. Liefhebbers van zeevruchten: De stad staat bekend om zijn verse vangsten, waaronder snapper, corvina en garnalen.

Roger was great. We had a had a large group of family and he was able to accommodate all of us. When we said we didn't want to see something he pivoted and took us somewhere else. The definite highlight of the tour was the monkey house. I couldn't recommend the is tour enough!
We booked this tour and were told there was a system glitch, so Roger was unable to accommodate us as planned. He did offer alternate arrangements, which we appreciated, and assured us that everything from the original tour would still be included. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations. The guide who was sent did not speak English and had to rely on phone translation throughout the tour. While he did his best and was kind, a major reason we booked this tour was for the commentary and insights—so spending much of the time in silence was disappointing. Additionally, we were asked to pay in cash, which required an unplanned ATM visit and extra fees, adding to the frustration. Overall, we appreciate the effort to find a last-minute solution, but the experience fell short of what was promised, and we would not recommend this tour.

Your reservation came in as a last-minute booking, creating an unexpected scheduling overlap. Rather than canceling your tour and disappointing your family with a full refund, I made the decision to have one of my trusted backup guides operate the tour so you could still enjoy the experience during your vacation. Unfortunately, that decision did not provide the level of service that I personally expect or that my guests deserve. I take full responsibility for that. This tour is one that I personally designed and normally operate myself, and because of your feedback, I have changed my internal policy. Going forward, if I am unavailable, I will no longer assign this particular tour to another guide. I would rather be fully booked than provide anything less than the experience my guests expect. I sincerely appreciate your comments because they helped me improve my business. I truly hope that if you return to Costa Rica in the future, you'll give me the opportunity to personally host you and your family. It would be my pleasure to offer this tour to you as my guest. An absolute blast! Roger was amazing and such a talented and thoughtful guide to have. He was super informative and really showed us a side to Costa Rica we hadn’t yet seen. Worth every second of time you will spend on this adventure. Book now so you don’t miss out!!
Roger was a fantastic guide, one of the best! Great with kids and adults alike, he was cordial and helped the tour be as safe as possible. Great itinerary too, more local and cultural experiences. Would highly recommend this tour again to any and all!
Roger was AMAZING and very accommodating to what our family was interested in seeing, he asked us questions to better hone in what was important to us for our experience. He was extremely pleasant and made our trip more amazing than I imagined. He was knowledgeable about the area, answered any questions we had and took us for lunch, which was amazing. He took us to see the monkeys, which we go to feed and allow to sit our our shoulders. We were a family of 4, 3 adults and 1 teenager. We will for sure use him again in our future trips to Costa Rica. "Customer service" should be Roger's first name!!!
For Starter, Roger Concierge CR, is definitely the Best Concierge that Costa Rica has to offer. Met him on a simple Uber ride share. Wanted to celebrate my Lovely Wife birthday. He suggested the monkey tour 🐒 crocodile bridge 🐊, a culture meal style lunch, Sloth Seeing 🦥, Playa Blanca Beach ⛱️, Take pics at Jaco View Point, and end the day with one of the best sunsets ever. We made a ton of New Memories on her Special Day. Roger recommended Claritas Restaurant for her Romantic Sunset Dinner and the atmosphere didn't disappoint 👌. She was so happy and I can truly say," Wifey's, Special Day was Exciting and Adventurous." If you don't use this guy in Costa Rica. You definitely didn't do it right!!! He is very knowledgeable, funny, family oriented, knows the culture, put others interest before his own, makes your dreams comes true. The places he suggested and took us to, were unimaginable.
