Deze Monkey Home en Damajagua watervallen tour biedt pick-up bij alle Puerto Plata hotels, evenals zowel Taino Bay en Amber Cove cruisehavens. Een tour om onderweg een oogje in het zeil te houden voor wilde dieren zoals doodshoofdaapjes. Stop dan en plaats onder toezicht van het personeel een bord fruit voor de apen om naar je toe te komen. Na je bezoek aan Monkey Home gaan we helemaal naar Damajagua Waterfalls, waar je de tour in 7 verschillende zwembaden kunt doen, springen en glijden. Gedurende de tour kunt u zelf zien hoe een lokale bevolking in het gebied leeft zonder elektriciteit of stromend water. Leer ook over de geschiedenis en culturele tradities van dit Caribische eiland.

De Damajagua Watervallen, ook wel bekend als de 27 Watervallen van Damajagua, zijn een reeks natuurlijke watervallen en poelen gelegen in het noordelijke deel van de Dominicaanse Republiek, in de buurt van Puerto Plata. Bezoekers kunnen wandelen door de jungle, springen, glijden en zwemmen door deze watervallen, waardoor het een populaire plek is voor avontuurlijk toerisme en eco-toerisme. De naam “Damajagua” verwijst naar de rivier die de watervallen voedt.
Je bezoekt Monkey Home waar je apen fruit kunt voeren. Geniet van een soepele rit naar Moneky Home en geniet van een rit met speciale chauffeurs die Engels spreken. Houd onderweg een oogje in het zeil voor wilde dieren, zoals doodshoofdaapjes. Stop dan en zet onder toezicht van het personeel een bord fruit klaar om de apen naar je toe te laten komen.

Sinds de reservering beginnen we het contact met jullie en we volgens een pick-up en we vestigden ons in voor de aankomst van de schepen om het op te halen, het maakt niet uit waar je gaat zijn in de zone, ook bieden wij pick-up binnen Amber Cove, binnen in Taino Bay en binnen in alle hotels, villa en Arbnb in Puerto Plata.

Absolutely amazing. We started with the monkeys and ended at the falls. If you’re not up for a challenge and don’t want to walk/hike, sit this one out! It’s a difficult climb to the top. However, our driver, guide, and photographer were amazing. My son and I, had an absolute blast! I’d for sure do it again!

We enjoyed this excursion we did not find the hiking as taxing. We are 26 and 29 and were able to do it in decent shape. Yes there is many stairs and it would be hard for young children but it’s manageable for everyone else. Just be ready to jump into the water, highest jump was 21 feet so be ready to do it!

I loved this tour! We had such a great time! The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is two things. 1. It’s a long tour with no food/drink anything provided there should be at least an option to buy something. 2. They have about 7-8 different people they involve in the trip that expects tips. I tip and planned to tip but not that many people. It’s overkill.

While food and others drinks are not included in this particular tour, there are areas at both the waterfalls and the monkey park where snacks and drinks can be purchased. Regarding tipping, guests normally interact directly with approximately 3–4 members of the team throughout the entire experience, including their driver. Tipping is never required or expected from our company, and we never ask our guests to tip. It is always completely optional and entirely at the guest’s discretion. Communication was swift and clear, explaining each step along the way. The an had water and AC. I recom.end bringing separate bills for cash tips as the driver, waterfall guide, and monkey house are all led by different people.

Excellent place to spend a few days of rest and beach, visit the historic center and other places of interest

This excursion was incredible!!! Family and I had so much fun. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for an adventure. Aribel and Yeury were great with communication. Starting with Damajua falls I would recommend water shoes because you will be walking 45 mins up a mountain and there will be slippery spots. You will have 2 breaks during the course of your hike. But it will all be worth it when you slide down those cool waterfalls. You have option to hire a photographer for about $55. Our photographer (Rainer) was wonderful, he took so many pictures during the course of our hike. We received a combination of 45 photos/videos on a USB card. Our next stop was Monkey village. The workers were very informative and organized with handling of the monkey's. You get to feed and interact with squirrel monkeys. They were so stinking cute!!! You have option to purchase photos as well....which we did. They were emailed to me within minutes of trip. Both of these experiences were amazing so glad I had opportunity to participate. DEFINITELY DO THIS.....YOU WON'T BE SORRY.

This was our favorite excursion my daughters and I have ever done! Yeury was an amazing driver and guide for the island. The monkey encounter was so cool and the staff was so nice! Berto was an amazing guide for the waterfalls. I would do this excursion over and over again!
