Ervaar Mombasa door de ogen van iemand die hier daadwerkelijk is opgegroeid. Dit is geen geënsceneerde culturele show — het is een echt dorp, echte ouderen en een echte gemeenschap die samenkomt voor je groep. Als je in het dorp aankomt, heeft een team van 5 tot 10 mensen — drummers, dansers, ouderen en gastheren — zich speciaal voor jou verzameld. Het dorpsgeld gaat rechtstreeks naar hen, gedeeld onder de mensen die het moment mogelijk hebben gemaakt. Niet aan een bedrijf. Op de gemeenschap. Dit is een privé-ervaring. Elke boeking wordt exclusief voor uw groep gehost — geen vreemden, geen gedeelde bus, geen gehaaste reisroute. Alleen je Gids, je tempo en echte toegang tot een kant van Kenia die de meeste reizigers nooit bereiken. Van het schoolbezoek tot het ritme van de trommels tot giraffen die vrij rondlopen op Nguuni — elk moment is echt, persoonlijk en wordt gehost door de mensen die deze plek hun thuis noemen. Rico was the perfect guide to learn about his own village ! We saw the making of coconut alcohol, local traditions, ancestors respects and the way their village is organized while visiting it. It is very impressive, as you are still in Mombasa but the atmosphere is very different than there. Finishing by the sanctuary is perfect as we experienced the protection of the animals inside the city while learning about their difficulties. For next time think about bringing money to buy few things from the village and the sanctuary. All in all Rico is a very great guide, hakouna matata !

This is such an amazing opportunity to learn about the culture and community near Mombasa. Our kids particularly loved visiting a school and giving out candy. We would highly recommend this experience to anyone.
