In deze activiteit krijgt men de kans om de echte mombasa-cultuur te ervaren, we zullen een wandeling maken op de markt en ook de oude stad die de eerste stad in Kenia is en verrijkt is met swahili-cultuur, we zullen ook een kans hebben om de tuk tuk-rit te ervaren, omdat we ook unieke bezienswaardigheden bezoeken, zoals de Tusks , Fort Jesus en de Mamangina-waterkant

Fort Jesus is een historisch fort in Mombasa, Kenia. Gebouwd door de Portugezen tussen 1593 en 1596, staat het als een van de belangrijkste historische bezienswaardigheden langs de Oost-Afrikaanse kust. Hier is een gedetailleerd overzicht van de geschiedenis: Fort Jezus was gelegen op een kritieke positie bij de ingang van de oude haven van Mombasa. Het speelde een sleutelrol in het controleren van de toegang tot de Oost-Afrikaanse kust en de lucratieve specerijen-, slaven- en ivoorhandel door de Oman-Arabieren
Deze haven werd opgericht door de Oman Arabieren en is de eerste zeehaven in Kenia, naast de haven ligt de oude stad (nederzetting voor de Oman Arabieren en de eerste stad op kenya)
We maken een wandeling in het CBD van mombasa city , bezoeken de marktplaatsen om te zien hoe Kenyan handelaren te werk gaan en bezoeken ook de kruidenmarkt die in 1914 door de Britten werd gebouwd
De slagtanden werden opgericht in 1952 om koningin Elizabeth te verwelkomen toen ze voor het eerst mombasa bezocht, nu is het een Monument voor foto's waarvan degene die Mombasa bezoekt naar de slagtanden moet gaan om foto's te maken om te dienen als bewijs dat hij / zij in mombasa was
Mamangina strand is het belangrijkste openbare strand in Mombasa Island waar mensen gaan om te ontspannen, perfom verschillende activiteiten zoals paardrijden en hebben een didtant blik van mensen die oversteken naar en van Mombasa Island met behulp van de veerboten

We had an amazing Mombasa city tour with our guide, Milkah! Our driver picked us up from the hotel right on time and kept us laughing the entire drive. The tour began at Fort Jesus, where Milkah gave us a fantastic private tour full of history and fascinating stories. We then explored the streets of Old Mombasa, sampled delicious local spices, and picked up a few souvenirs. My sister wanted to try authentic nyama choma, and Milkah happily arranged a stop at a local park so we could enjoy it. It was a thoughtful addition that made the experience feel even more personal. We also stopped for photos at the iconic Mombasa Tusks, enjoyed fun tuk-tuk rides through the city, and had time to shop for beautiful kitenge fabric. Bottled water was included, which was a nice touch. This tour was the perfect mix of history, culture, food, shopping, and local experiences. It was beautiful, educational, and one of the highlights of our time in Mombasa. If you’re looking for a guide who is knowledgeable, accommodating, and makes the day enjoyable, I highly recommend Milkah!
Juma was a great guide, very sophisticated. He offered a lot of information and details to all attractions like the history of Fort Jesus, the Old Town, the Marketplace (especially about the spices with the opportunity to taste and smell some), the Tusks and the nearby Park with the many bats on the trees. He also took photos for/with us and we had enough time by ourselves to take photos. You also can visit some shops, if you like. It was a very good overall experience, which I can highly recommend to do, worth the money!
What a nice person. We arrived off a cruise ship and he was there at the arranged time outside the port. The tour was just the right time for us to see the Old Town, tusks, market and waterfront with options to go inside Jesus Fort. Very knowledgeable guide and no pressure to buy, part of the tour was by tuk tuk so that was a bonus. We felt very safe.
Juma is a young and enthusiastic guide who is very knowledgeable. We got to learn so much about the history and culture of Mombasa. A very enjoyable experience
