Moalboal Sardine Run, zeeschildpadden en Mantayupan-watervallen

Deze dagexcursie begint vanuit Cebu. Na een paar uur rijden arriveer je in Moalboal, een eersteklas snorkelplek. Geniet van zwemmen rond prachtige koraalriffen, schattige zeeschildpadden en grote scholen krachtige sardines in Moalboal. Ervaar het mysterieuze tafereel van schattige zeeschildpadden die gracieus zwemmen en kleine sardientjes die als één grote levensvorm in een school migreren. Na het snorkelen bezoekt u de Mantayupan Falls, een van de grootste watervallen in Cebu, met een val van 98 meter hoog en omgeven door kliffen en bomen, waardoor het zelfs overdag relatief koel is, en staat bekend als een zomerresort. Genees in dit verborgen en onontgonnen deel van Cebu Island dat niet zo bekend is bij toeristen en geliefd is bij de lokale bevolking.

Mantayupan Falls, een van de grootste watervallen in Cebu met een verval van 98 meter, is omgeven door kliffen en bomen, waardoor het zelfs overdag relatief koel is, en staat bekend als zomerverblijf.
In Moalboal kunt u vanaf het strand de oceaan in zodra u aankomt en genieten van snorkelen!
Als je in de oceaan kijkt, zie je een grote school sardientjes die fonkelen en een draaikolk creëren. U kunt ook genieten van verschillende schattige scènes van zeeschildpadden zwemmen sierlijk, eten zeewier, en rusten rustig.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Ophaaltijd is tussen 4:00 en 5:00 uur. Pick-up wordt alleen aangeboden bij hotels in Cebu City en Mactan Island. De exacte ophaaltijd wordt de dag voor de tour meegedeeld. Laat ons de naam van uw hotel weten tijdens het boeken. Ophalen bij Moalboal kan alleen als privétour, dus neem contact met ons op.

- Verzekeringen kunnen niet worden afgesloten voor personen van 76 jaar en ouder. U kunt wel deelnemen als u een eigen verzekering afsluit.
- Het schema voor de dag kan veranderen als gevolg van weersomstandigheden. In geval van slecht weer zijn wijzigingen ter beoordeling van de gids op de dag van de tour.

Great fun and safe too. ! Elvi. Our guide, is really friendly, helpful, and fun! Guides at the beach are attentive and will keep track of you when water gets crowded which can happen when sea turtles come on the scene. Early start to the day ensures seeing the sardines before they move to deeper water. I recommend this tour.

Tour booked online night before. Included nice driver & guide, entrance fees. 430am departure! Waterfall lovely and no one else there. Snorkeling to see the sardines was cool but a lot of tourists in life jackets who couldn’t swim. S

Our driver and guide were punctual, they picked us up at 4:30am. From Cebu city, its around a 2 hour drive to the falls. Then another hour drive to Moalboal. The snorkelling experience was incredible! Saw thousands of sardines and several turtles. Overall, I felt well taken care of.

One of the reasons to visit Moalboal was to experience the famous sardines fish school. We loved it but maybe our expectations were too high. We definitely liked more the snorkeling areas in Coron than in Moalboal. Anyway, the visit to Moalboal was a great idea, there is a great vibe in the town and we recommend to stay at least for two or three days.

The Sardine Tornado drops off right in front of the beach! When you are staring, the sea turtles cross under your eyes. The guide dived through the sardine tornado and was thrilled to take a photo with me surrounded by sardines and the cute sea turtle.

We were picked up at the hotel on time, and the 3-hour drive with Ninyo was very pleasant – plenty of space and a relaxed atmosphere. Ninyo (driver) and Mae (tour guide) were extremely friendly and gave us lots of interesting insights about the Philippines. Snorkeling with sardines and turtles was an impressive experience that we can absolutely recommend. Ninyo and Mae took care of everything so we could just relax and enjoy the trip. Especially beautiful: They took underwater pictures of us at no extra cost. Thank you, Ninyo and Mae, next time we bring Lindt & Sprüngli chocolate ;) – it was an unforgettable day!

The trip is split into two parts. The first part was the sardine run and the turtle viewing. The waters are crystal clear and there are SO MANY sardines present. I thought we would have to go far from the shore but it’s more like a drop off close to the shore which is very nice. We also saw some barracuda, jelly fish, lots of other colourful fish and a turtle!! He was so cute. There is a good amount of time to swim and the guide was fantastic. You can hire flippers also for 150p so you can swim further down which was helpful. The second part was the falls. They are BEAUTIFUL! You can swim under them and they provide life jackets for such. The photos we took here are really nice. Definitely recommend bringing your own snacks and lunch for the day however the tour guide did stop at the 7/11 for us which was awesome! They also have a GoPro that you can borrow and they will upload all the photos and videos for you to your phone before you leave. Definitely recommend. :)
