Moab Rivertrippers ~ Halve dag Rafting Castle Valley/Visserstorens

Beschrijving

Our guide Abby was great and made the best of a very challenging day on the river! It was very “gusty” and we were not making much progress, but Abby had a great attitude and coached us through it. The scenery was breathtaking and if it were so “breezy,” we would have had a better experience. We also wished there were more rapids… we only went through two Class 1 rapids, so not much action.
Kim, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for recognizing Abby. We will be sure she sees your kind words. She's an outstanding guide, and we're glad her positive attitude helped make the best of a windy day. We completely understand that strong winds can change the feel of a river trip. Unfortunately, weather is one of the few things we simply cannot control. We do ask our guests, when leaving reviews, to rate us on the things we can control such as our staff, equipment, check in experience, transportation, and overall service rather than conditions like weather or river flow. We also noticed your comment about wanting more rapids. Our Moab Daily Float is clearly described as a Class I and II scenic float designed for relaxing, swimming, and taking in the incredible red rock scenery. If you're looking for a more adventurous experience with exciting whitewater, we'd love to have you join us on our Westwater Canyon trip in the future. For reference, this is how we think about reviews: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ = Great adventure. We delivered on what we promised, even if perfection doesn't exist. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ = Great adventure with a few minor issues that were within our control. ⭐⭐⭐ = Average experience with several service related issues that need improvement. Thank you again for rafting with us, and we hope to welcome you back. Moab Crew & Abby
Everything we experience with Chance and Moab Rivertrippers was great from start to finish. The energy of everyone was fantastic. We had the full range of a young child, a pregnant mom, adults and older adults that all had a great day! Chance gave us his all to make sure we had fun, explained details of the river and history of the surrounding area.
We had a lot of fun from beginning to end! The group included children ages 10 and 13, and 3 adults, the oldest being 71. It was a slow ride down the river because this year the drought caused low water so we had time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the rapids were very mild. We saw a mama bighorn sheep and her 2 babies, and also several herons and some songbirds. To get to the river and back we had the choice of a van ride or the very exciting and windy open-air enormous shuttle. We were allowed out of the raft to float down the river a few times and at the end we had time to play in the water near a small beach. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered most of the questions we had along the way so we learned some geology, biology, history, geography, and legalities about the area. It was nice to get to know the other 3 people in our raft and make new friends on the shuttle ride. Water and wetbags were provided and you didn't have to row if you didn't want to or couldn't. If you have any questions, call the office beforehand and they will tell you what you need to know. Yes, we were glad we chose this company.
Abby was amazing. The water was low but still amazing. Loved swimming in the river.
Great time! I was thankful for them providing water. Sun is hot so important to wear a hat and sunscreen. The water felt so good to escape the heat.
It was great, a truly caring and knowledgeable staff made this a great experience and adventure. Very enjoyable and so scenic.
Everything was good! From the drive in the open bus to the launch area, to the going down the river. Great views, swimming in the river was fun and our tour guide KJ was very knowledgable, had good sense of humor and very protective of the safety of the group, Highly recommend!
Had a great float with amazing views! Guides were awesome and made it incredibly relaxing!
The combination of stunning canyon scenery, a relaxing float, and a great crew is what makes this stretch of the Colorado River such a memorable experience. We are glad you were able to slow down, take in the views, and enjoy your time on the water. Our guides love sharing this special part of Moab with guests, and we will be sure to pass along your kind words to the team. We appreciate you choosing Moab Rivertrippers and hope to see you back on the river again soon.
We had a great rafting trip with KJ on the Colorado River! He was very knowledgeable and answered all questions about the area and wildlife. He is a hard worker and paddler, making sure we all stayed safe and had a fun time! The river was calm with a few areas of mild rapids. I’d go again!
KJ puts a lot of effort into making every Colorado River rafting trip both fun and informative, and we are glad that stood out during your adventure. From sharing information about the local wildlife and canyon ecosystem to navigating the river, our guides work hard to create a memorable experience for every guest. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the mix of relaxing water, scenic views, and a few fun rapids along the way. We appreciate you joining Moab Rivertrippers and look forward to seeing you back on the river again.
Great 1/2 day trip down the Colorado River! KJ was our guide and was not only knowledgable, but you can tell he enjoys what he's doing. He was able to answer all of our group's questions and seemed to have plenty of experience with the area and rafting. The owner, Chantze, was also very helpful and personable, answering all of our questions before it was time to board the transport van to the river. I feel like it was well worth the price we'd paid. I went with my family of four, and two other groups of two, so six people plus our guide in the raft. It was a nice calm float, not any major rapids. We saw a desert sheep, as well as plenty of native birds and plants. I would recommend this trip and even book again! Thank you,
Hearing that your family enjoyed both the river experience and the time spent learning about the area is exactly what we hope for on every trip. KJ does a great job sharing the history, wildlife, and natural beauty of the Colorado River while creating a fun and relaxing atmosphere on the water. We are also glad Chantze was able to help get your adventure started on the right foot. Spotting desert bighorn sheep and native wildlife is always a special bonus. We appreciate your recommendation and are thrilled to hear you would join us again for another Moab Rivertrippers adventure.
