Moab Full-Day White Water Rafting Tour in Westwater Canyon

Dit is een echte White Water-ervaring !! Plons je een weg langs de Colorado-rivier door de stroomversnellingen van Westwater Canyon, waar je naast het ruige woestijnlandschap de kans hebt om dieren in het wild te spotten, van stijgende Amerikaanse zeearenden tot rivierotters en bevers. Houd je in de loop van een dag stevig vast terwijl je gids helpt bij het navigeren door het wildwater van klasse III en klasse IV, waar stroomversnellingen namen hebben als Sock-It-To-Me, Funnel Falls en Skull. Deze reis zorgt voor een adrenalinestoot te midden van muren van rode rotskloven, en is geweldig voor de reiziger die van een uitdaging en een beetje woestijnavontuur houdt.

De tour zelf begint in Moab, waar je je professionele gids ontmoet en een introductie-veiligheidsbriefing krijgt om fit te zijn met reddingsvest en uitrusting. Vanaf hier spring je in het busje voor de rit naar de put-in op een schilderachtig deel van de rivier, waar je gids aanvullende instructies zal geven over het rijden in het vlot. Als je klaar bent, duw je je af van de zandige oever en bereid je je voor om door de kloof te spetteren.
Tijdens deze avontuurlijke wildwaterraftingtrip bestaat de kans dat je rotstekeningen kunt zien die in de rotsen zijn uitgehouwen van de oorspronkelijke bewoners van het gebied, of oude mijncabines, graven en grotten die dateren uit het oude Wilde Westen. Als je langs een oudgroeiende Cottonwood-boom komt, kijk je omhoog naar de lucht om te zoeken naar Amerikaanse zeearenden en die vliegen en kusten op de wind, en kijk uit naar otters en bevers terwijl ze spetteren en zwemmen in de draaikolken. Je spettert door 12 verschillende stroomversnellingen van klasse III en IV. Je gids roeit het vlot met roeiriemen, dus je kunt gewoon volhouden voor de rit en het woestijnlandschap absorberen terwijl je je een weg door de kloof spettert. Midden op de dag peddelt je gids naar een zanderige rivieroever in een rustiger deel van het water, waar je kunt genieten van een stevig lunchbuffet en een verfrissende duik kunt nemen. Ga vanaf hier verder stroomafwaarts spetteren en luister naar je echo's in de kloof, voordat je de Colorado-rivier achter je laat voor de comfortabele rit terug naar Moab.
De Colorado-rivier is een integraal onderdeel van het Wilde Westen van Amerika, omdat het een reeks canyons en grotten heeft uitgehouwen door het hart van de rode rotswoestijn. Hier in de Westwater Canyon-sectie, buiten de stad Moab, verken je de rivier per wildwatervlot samen met een informatieve gids, die de geschiedenis en verhalen van het gebied zal vertellen terwijl je kilometers lang de rivier afdaalt.

We had an amazing full day rafting adventure in Westwater Canyon!! We would definitely choose Adrift again when visiting the area. Right off the bat, we felt taken care of with clear communication from the kind owner, calling us a couple of days in advance to make sure we had the best trip possible. Our guide, Tyler, was absolutely top-notch. He filled our day with fun stories, facts about the geology of the area, and more. His passion and knowledge rafting was evident. We were impressed by the lunch spread mid-day, and loved the adrenaline of the rapids in the afternoon. Our kids (age 14, 11 and 11) had a blast and made memories to last a lifetime. Thanks again to Tyler, Phil our driver, and all the team at Adrift for a wonderful day!
Our full-day Westwater Canyon rafting trip with Adrift was one of the highlights of our entire Moab adventure. The scenery is absolutely world-class and unlike anything I've experienced before. Towering canyon walls, incredible geology, and breathtaking views make this one of the most beautiful rafting trips anywhere. A special shout-out to our guide, Steve, who made the day exceptional. He was knowledgeable, professional, fun, and did a fantastic job keeping everyone engaged while making us feel safe and confident on the river. His passion for the canyon and rafting really elevated the experience. The entire crew was outstanding, and it's clear that Adrift has built a strong culture focused on customer experience and safety. I also want to recognize owner "Cranky Mike." With more than 50 years of experience, his leadership shows. He has built an impressive operation with an excellent team, and it is obvious why Adrift has such a great reputation. The rapids were exciting, the scenery was unforgettable, and the entire experience was incredibly well organized from start to finish. If you're visiting Moab and looking for a true bucket-list adventure, Westwater Canyon with Adrift should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended!!!!!!

This is a great company headquartered in north Moab. They came well-recommended by the B&B we were staying at in town so we booked early with them on Viator. There's a variety of different types of tours you can book both on and off the water. Ie. Jeep tours, rafting, etc. We chose to go rafting as my wife and I usually do one of these trips each Summer. We chose the full day Westwater Canyon trip as it offered a nice mix of liesurely float in the morning, a provided lunch, and Class 3 and 4 rapids in the afternoon. My wife and I had forgotten some rafting essentials so we were pleased to find a very comprehensive shop in the store with everything you'd possibly need plus company merch. After about an 1.5 hour drive, we set out with another group of 8 on two rafts each with its own guide. Our guide, Turner, was experienced, super professional, and full of great stories during the float portion of the trip. Sandwich buffet lunch was good although something didn't agree with my wife's stomach. Turner handled the rapids portion of the trip flawlessly and we all had a huge amount of fun! At this time the water level was low so the Colorado River wasn't running too fast. As a result, the rapids, although fun, we're a bit tame. This was definitely NOT the fault of the company but rather our choice of time of our vacation and the conditions of the water. In order to get to the takeout location, we used a motor which saved a huge amount of time. All-in-all a fun day with beautiful scenery and great service from a good company. Highly recommend this excursion!

In May I was on a guys trip, and we made the best decision of our trip to drive the four hours to Moab and do a full day of white water rafting with Adrift Adventures and the greatest guide in the game Claire. Claire handled leading a raft of seven guys as well as anyone could and was both a fun and informative guide along the way, who definitely elevated the overall experience. I speak for our entire group when I say it was the highlight of our trip and one of the best days we had in a while.
