De tour vertrekt vanaf een hotel of treinstation in Hiroshima City; de volgorde van de tour kan worden gewijzigd tussen Miyajima en Peace Park om de Floating Torii Gate te zien. We gebruiken het openbaar vervoer. Reistijd naar Miyajima is 1 uur.
Bezoek een spiritueel eiland "MIYAJIMA" dat al sinds de oudheid wordt vereerd als het godeneiland. Herten, de boodschappers van de goden, heten u welkom!
De Drijvende Torii poort verschijnt op de zee bij hoog water. Bij laag water kunt u er langs lopen en onder de indruk zijn van de grootte en schoonheid!
Itsukushima Shrine drijft op de zee en is geregistreerd als UNESCO Werelderfgoed. Dit heiligdom, ook een nationale schat, verandert van uiterlijk met de eb en vloed van het getijde. Bezoekers kunnen genieten van de schoonheid van de majestueuze Japanse architectuur uit de Heian-periode. Als je geluk hebt, ben je getuige van een huwelijksceremonie of een dans gewijd aan de goden!
Daisho-in Tempel is een unieke en zeldzame tempel. De oudste tempel op Miyajima, het is gelegen in het midden van de rijke natuur en heeft vele attracties. Deze tempel was geliefd bij Shogun Hideyoshi en vele andere invloedrijke mensen, en is een must-see!
Onderdeel van het Itsukusima heiligdom, UNESCO Werelderfgoed, gebouwd in de 16e eeuw. Grote zalen en muurloze ruimtes zijn rustig en vredig. Shogun Hideyoshi orde te bouwen.
Wandelen Omotesando winkelstraat. Gevoerd met voedingswinkels en souvenirwinkels die Miyajima's speciale producten verkopen, zoals oesters, conger paling rijstkom en momiji manju (gestoomde broodjes). Momiji-manju handbakken workshops zijn ook beschikbaar.
We gaan richting Peace Memorial Park. In principe gebruiken we een veerboot, JR, of trein. Het duurt ongeveer 1 uur. Als optie kunt u ook een directe boot (45 minuten) naar Peace Memorial Park nemen. Controleer uw e-mail na het boeken voor details.

Te voet ophalen. Niet vermeld hotel : laat het ons weten. Komende uit een andere stad : Hiroshima Station is de beste ontmoetingsplaats. ⚠️Voor vergaderingen in Itsukaichi Port geldt een toeslag van JPY 2.000, contant te betalen op de dag. ⚠️ Te late betaling: meer dan 20 minuten te laat zonder kennisgeving = No-Show (geen restitutie). Als u ons op de hoogte stelt, maar meer dan 1 uur te laat bent, kan de tour worden ingekort of kunnen extra kosten van toepassing zijn.

We spent a second day with Yuka touring Miyajima island. This was a highlight of our 2 week trip to Japan. Yuka knew the exact order to see the main highlights and avoid the crowds. She took us to a great restaurant specializing in oysters which are grown in the waters nearby. Overall it was a lovely day.

Yuka was our guide today. She greeted us at our hotel (she was there early) we requested to walk to the train station vs taking a taxi. She got us through both the train and ferry station which ease. She knew where to sit on the ferry to get the best view, she is very knowledgeable of the entire island and shared her pictures with us. She selected a great restaurant for lunch and offered us the cable car ride back instead of the train for a different experience. Yuka speaks very good English, we had a great day on this island tour.

What an amazing day! Aya was the perfect guide, patiently guiding us through (a rainy) Hiroshima and then a high-speed boat trip to Miyajima Island (which has to be anyone’s highlight on a trip to Hiroshima). Masa was a great guide! She is very knowledgeable about the Miyajima Island. She showed us the ways to be respectful of the Temples and shrines. As well as the history behind them. The Otorii Gate was very beautiful and there as sacred deer 🦌 just roaming around. You won’t be disappointed if you hire her to be your guide. We really enjoyed her company.

How can we sum up the magic of being guided by Masa through the centuries-old Itsukushima shrine and Daishoin temple on Miyajima Island?
