Deze safari neemt je mee op een exclusieve rit door het Minneriya National Park, dat bekend staat om zijn olifanten en wilde dieren. Je begint je tour vanuit Habarana om 14:00 uur. Uw safari-jeep haalt u op bij uw hotel en brengt u naar Minneriya National Park. Het park heeft veel landsoorten en groei. Wetlands vermengen zich met landbouwgrond en rotspartijen, en bossen gaan hand in hand met struikgewas. Dit betekent ook dat de soorten dieren en vogels die in het park leven of het bezoeken behoorlijk gevarieerd zijn. Als je geluk hebt, kun je misschien een krokodil of zelfs een uiterst zeldzame grijze, slanke lori zien. Een kleine kudde herten kan het Minneriya-reservoir bezoeken terwijl u vroeg in de ochtend toekijkt. Als u kiest voor de avondsafari, de beste tijd om dit park te bezoeken, kunt u ook de olifanten hun dagelijkse bad zien nemen en aan het einde van de dag de vele verschillende soorten vogels zien vertrekken naar hun nesten. Nadat u uw halve dag de natuur in actie hebt bekeken, wordt u teruggebracht naar uw hotel.

Fabulous safari. We saw so many elephants, including some really small baby ones, which was magical. The park was busy and there were lots of other jeeps, but we also had quiet moments away from the others. The elephants came so close to the jeep, which was really exciting. Brilliant driver, friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent, comfortable vehicle too. Be prepared for a long wait for tickets to get into the park - 90 mins for us and we hadn’t brought anything to occupy the kids so it was a bit tricky, mainly not knowing how long it would take. This was quickly forgotten once we got going though. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

The tour company informed us the day before our trip that not many elephants were being seen in the morning, and that they recommended we change to an afternoon tour. Our driver and guide for the day, Asela, picked us up and was such a great host! He got us into great spots that the elephants naturally came towards and he was also very respectful of them by turning off his engine. Asela’s knowledge of the elephants and other animals in the park was fantastic and we cannot recommend him enough.

Today we visit the Minneriya National Park. Asela was our Jeep driver and he was very kind and nice.He pick up us at the restaurant and take us to all the safari, giving us information about the elephants. He also facilitate us a tuktuk to Dambulla. He is the best!!!

The driver was punctual, friendly and made sure we were all comfortable. He took us there and back for a great price and stopped so we can get drinks and snacks too. The safari was incredible! Seeing the wildlife was beautiful and we saw more elephants than we expected!! Had an amazing time 10/10 recommend

Great experience with our guide! We were able to observe about fifty elephants and a few birds. The few jeeps present in the park do not go for the animals, they approach it and the animals are not wild and come almost into contact. I recommend this safari!

Overall. A fantastic experience. The Guide was wonderful and knew terrain very well. The Guide was on time for pickup and covered entire area very well. We almost saw 20-25 elephants.
