This was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Santa Marta and an experience we would absolutely recommend! Our Minca tour included the waterfall, coffee farm, and chocolate experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed every part of it. I was lucky enough to see a toucan in flight. Our guide, Federico, was excellent—attentive, knowledgeable, and full of personality. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and his enthusiasm made the experience even better. The entire tour was well organized and an excellent value for what we paid. We learned a lot, had a great time, and really enjoyed experiencing Minca. We would 100% recommend this tour, especially with Federico as your guide!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and he made the tour so interesting. My sister and I enjoyed learning about the coffee bean process, and we especially loved the cacao beans experience, which ended with cacao face masks! We saw monkeys during our hike and beautiful birds. The water fall was lots of fun too. Definitely recommend. Huge thank you to our driver as well!

My tour guide was Mario and he truly made the experience unforgettable!! Minca was the highlight of my Colombia trip and it was all thanks to Mario. We were a small group but we all felt so safe and Mario made us all feel very comfortable not to mention he is hilarious. Minca is such a beautiful place, from swimming near waterfalls to drinking coffee in the coffee farms I could not have asked for a better tour or tour guide!! 100/10 would recommend :)

My family of four visited Minca for the first time, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our tour guide, Mario, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and shared so much about the history, culture, and nature of the area. Since we visited just a few days after the presidential elections, there were very few tourists, so we had many of the attractions almost entirely to ourselves. Our first stop was a local coffee farm. I'm not usually a coffee drinker, but the coffee was so delicious that we ended up buying two bags (COP 30,000 each). Don't expect a large commercial operation, the coffee is produced in a very traditional, artisanal way, which made the experience even more authentic. Next, we visited a hidden waterfall. We spent about 30 minutes there. The water was very cold, but it was incredibly refreshing and therapeutic. My children thought it was too cold to get in, but I loved it. We were lucky to have the place almost to ourselves. I was told that during the high season, it gets so crowded that finding space to swim can be difficult. After that, we stopped for lunch, and this was the only disappointing part of the tour, which is why I'm giving it four stars instead of five. We paid an extra COP 10,000 per plate to upgrade to fish, but my husband and I received the smallest tilapia I've ever been served. It honestly felt overpriced for the portion and I hot very upset. The standard lunch includes chicken or pork, and my children's chicken portions were also quite small. We don't eat large meals, and even we left hungry, so I recommend planning to have another meal after the tour. At the same restaurant, we participated in an artisan chocolate workshop, which was one of our favorite activities. We sampled a variety of chocolates and learned about the chocolate-making process. We also purchased a natural chocolate facial product for COP 30,000. One of the things I loved most about Minca was its peaceful atmosphere. It's a place where you can truly reconnect with nature, relax, and let go of stress. Mario even guided us through a simple mindfulness exercise to help us appreciate the beauty and tranquility around us, which made the experience even more meaningful. The entire tour was conducted in English, making it easy to follow and enjoy. Despite the small lunch portions, I highly recommend this tour-especially if you're looking to experience the natural beauty and peaceful spirit of Minca. If you're planning this tour, be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring cash to support the local businesses and artisans.

My guide’s name was Mario. He came in on his day off to do the tour. He’s a beautiful soul and showed me so much more than the tour described. The coffee farm was disappointing though. He explained the process but there wasn’t much to see. The waterfall was beautiful and almost nobody there! The hike is steep and rocky, but we took lots of breaks, about 1.5 miles to the waterfall and then another 20 minutes (maybe half a mile) to the restaurant. I wore Teva sandals during the whole tour (I had other shoes in my backpack in case I needed to change) and it was doable but felt a little unsteady coming down from the waterfall. The lunch was delicious, I ordered the chicken. The cacao/chocolate experience was cool. It was a nice little tour for the price.
